Cascade Locks - Same hikers hear rocks clacking together during another night-hike, on Wyeth Trail
Account
A group was hiking at night on a trail east of Cascade Locks in October 1975. While in a clearing, they heard a sound like two rocks struck together behind them, then three more times from the left, right, and front. They saw nothing and the sound did not recur. Fresh snow the next day showed no tracks.
