Deer hunter reports loud wood knocks where PCT passes Hyatt Lake
While deer hunting near Hyatt Lake, the witness heard a large object crash through the woods moving away. Shortly after stopping, the witness heard tree knocks from the same direction, then heard additional knocks behind while walking back to a truck on the main road. Despite aiming a rifle scope toward the sounds from under 100 yards away, the witness saw nothing and was frightened.
Wood knock near Butte Falls, Oregon (2025)
The witness was tent-camping overnight when awakened late at night by an animal believed to be an elk running nearby. About two minutes later the witness heard repeated sets of three wood-on-wood knocks that seemed to originate farther away each time over several minutes. The witness perceived the source as moving unusually fast through dense regrowth in darkness and left the site uneasily in the morning.

The witness was backpacking around Timothy Lake and sleeping in a tent. Around 3 a.m. on two nights, the witness heard loud repeated howl-like yells from across the lake that lasted several minutes. On the second night, immediately after the vocalizations ended, the witness heard a loud wood knock from nearby to the south.
Backpackers on east flank of Mt Hood hear volleys of loud knocks between 12am and 3am
Two backpackers were sleeping at a camp along the Timberline Trail when they were awakened around midnight by loud wood-on-wood knocking from below. The knocks came from the same direction and distance in repeated series over about three hours. One backpacker fell back asleep while the other remained awake, and their stored packs were later found undisturbed.

The witness was camping with friends for a bachelor party on a private property near a river. Shortly after going to sleep in a large tall tent, he heard and felt heavy footsteps paired with growling approaching. He looked up through the open tent top and saw a very large face staring down at him that showed shock then anger and growled before stomping away through camp past another camper's van and down a trail.

The witness was camping with family when early-morning vocalizations described as growls leading to screams and whoops were heard repeating three times from a forested ravine. The family dog refused to leave camp and prolonged cracking of large downed branches was then heard for about ninety minutes without any animal being seen. After the cracking stopped abruptly, the dog investigated and normal animal sounds resumed.
During day trip to mountains, couple hear branch breaks, rocks thrown while repairing vehicle, near Coquille
The witness and two companions stopped at a creek bridge to get water for an overheating vehicle. While attempting to collect water with a cup on a string, they heard movement on the steep hillside and had small stones and then a large rock thrown toward them from uphill. They left quickly without seeing what threw the rocks.

The witness was riding as passenger while exploring forest roads during a camping trip. After rounding a corner they saw two dark upright figures sprint across the road about 30 yards ahead and down a gully. The companion driving did not see them. The witness first thought bears but later concluded the height and upright running did not fit bears.
Close-range, 2-witness observation of a Sasquatch at 10pm outside off-grid cabin 35 crow miles due north of Coos Bay
A couple sitting in their off-grid cabin at night heard loud bangs on the cabin twice. The husband looked from a dark bedroom toward the lit generator shed and both saw a large reddish-brown hairy biped watching for about two minutes before it walked into the woods. The shaken couple fled with their dogs and guns, returning the next morning to estimate its height and find trampled vegetation.
Homestead explorer has possible daytime sighting, near Dexter
Two people cut through storm-fallen trees into an old logging unit to look for an old homestead. From a small rise one of them spotted a huge person-like outline across the drainage about 200 yards away. The figure sidestepped, stared toward them for one to two minutes, then disappeared after they briefly looked away.

Around 7:30 in the morning the witness was at home after briefly letting her dog out and the dog came straight back inside. She noticed a strong sewage-like smell and heard sticks breaking beside the house. Looking out the bathroom windows she watched a large dark upright creature walk north about 20 feet away and continue upslope toward the cemetery.
Evening archery hunters hear possible whoops for 15 minutes in Mt. Hood National Forest
The witness was archery hunting with his wife and son and had gathered back at their truck around 7 p.m. They heard loud whoop-like vocalizations from the treeline, and after the son imitated a whoop they heard louder responses from multiple directions continuing for several minutes. The witness stated the sounds were unlike any known animal, that the exchange was recorded on phones, and that no other people were in the area.
Camper's nighttime howl has possible knock response in Mt. Hood National Forest
Six people were camping and talking around a campfire after dinner when a child imitated a howl. About 5 to 10 seconds later the group heard a single loud wood knock from a forested ridge above the lake. No other campers were nearby, and no other sounds, odors, or tracks were reported.
Sasquatch sighting near Brookings, Oregon (2016)
In November 2016 the witness was driving slowly with his wife, newborn son and a friend toward the Ludlum House along the Winchuck River to sightsee. At a bend he looked down into the creek and saw an upright, furry dark-brown figure standing in mid-water that looked up over its shoulder at the car and then looked away. On the drive back the figure was gone and he later found no stump in that spot, and since then he reports an uneasy watched feeling past about mile eight.
Still hairy figure seen in a field by a motorist near Springfield
The witness was driving on High Banks Road toward the highway in late morning and slowed to look at an object in a pasture to the right of the road. The witness described a large dark long-haired animal-like object standing motionless in the open field about 70 yards from the road. No photo was taken because of a following car and a doctor's appointment, and no limbs, head, or movement were discerned during the 20 to 25 second observation.
Whoop near Summer Lake, Oregon (2015)
While bow hunting alone and walking back to camp in the morning, the witness found a cow torn into pieces with parts scattered. Shortly after he heard three progressively louder whoops that felt like a warning to leave. He then saw a dark average-person-sized shape move between trees about 20 feet up and left quickly without telling his uncle details.
Camper hears strange knocking and screams in Tillamook Forest
The witness was camping alone in a tent trailer at dusk. Loud prolonged yells were heard first from the south and minutes later much louder repeated yells from the north, then again from the south. Frightened by the loudness, the witness lay still in the dark trailer with a firearm until logging trucks passed at dawn.
Five men hear tree knocks, and begin exchange of vocalizations and taps while on an expedition near Estacada
A group of five hiked an old closed ridge road around midnight under moonlight. After the leader produced knocks, responsive knocking came from timber about 50 feet away where a shadowy figure was seen, and the leader exchanged sounds with it. As the group hiked back to their cars they were flanked with glowing eyes, vocalizations and rustling.

After hearing heavy metal banging for several nights, the witness ran armed from his fifth-wheel to a 30x40 foot excavation pit. He confronted two 8-9 foot hair-covered beings on the far side and a 4-foot juvenile trapped in the 12-foot hole, while a 10-11 foot individual flanked near his truck. After a scream-roar and standoff where he lowered his aim off the juvenile, the adults retrieved the juvenile and withdrew silently to the treeline. He packed up, later had researchers trespass after his cousin told them, filled the hole, and sold the property.
Possible daylight road crossing on Cascade Lakes Hwy. near Bend
The witness was driving toward Mt Bachelor on a clear cold morning when a very large dark figure crossed the highway in three large steps. The figure moved upright on two legs and disappeared into dense pine forest. The witness's car and another car slowed near where it entered the trees, but the figure was not relocated in the brush.
