The witness was walking home through woods at dusk when a very large, completely hairy human-like figure was seen a few feet away in dense vegetation parallel to the trail. As the witness ran toward home, the figure ran alongside in the brush making deep grunt and roar-like sounds. The figure stopped and stayed crouched in cover at the edge of an open field while the witness continued home and reported what happened to a parent.

A loud, powerful, unfamiliar call came from across the sink, described as starting like a deep growl and growing in volume and tone. He drove across the creek to look for it on the other side, but it never emerged, and he did not leave his vehicle to search.
