Late at night two people parked near a bridge watched a tall figure cross a marsh, step over a fence without stopping, then turn and run toward them at high speed. They drove away over the bridge while the figure pursued briefly before breaking off at the hardtop road and returning to the forest. The writer states the figure matched no known animal or human they had encountered.

In summer 1980 the witness and a companion were hanging out listening to the radio on a moonlit trail when a companion pointed out a hunched figure holding a small tree about 30 feet away. After hearing a branch snap, he saw a tall, dark, hair-covered figure standing on the opposite ridge about 30 feet away, which watched him for several minutes before taking a step toward him. Encounter with Juvenile Creature
In 1979 the witness had moved ahead of a hiking group in the Adirondacks to watch beavers and was walking back to the main trail. Something flushed from thick brush ran diagonally toward the witness on the trail, pounding loudly and wailing like a woman screaming, and was seen partially as a fast, upright furry figure about four and a half feet tall. The witness initially assumed a bear cub but later doubted that because it ran upright for about 150 feet and the vocalization resembled sounds associated with Bigfoot reports.

The guest drove into an unmowed field off Abair Road after midnight with a trooper in another field and waited. After tree-breaking sounds and the trooper fleeing, a large hairy upright creature approached to about 30 feet, vocalized intensely, then turned and walked away across the field into the woods.

Around 1975 the witness was at a hunting camp late at night with two relatives when they heard a loud strange call moving through the woods. They moved to a nearby field to try to intercept the source as it approached to about 100 yards. The calling then stopped and nothing was seen or crossed the road, so they waited without further result.

On February 2, 2006 around 6 a.m. the witness was walking to a vehicle after dropping children at a sitter. From across the road and over a creek about 100 yards away, the witness heard a single loud yell lasting six to seven seconds that sounded like the Ohio Howl. The witness did not remain to listen for a second vocalization.

The witness hiked to a bedrock outcropping to camp overnight. Around midnight the witness awoke and heard a loud high-pitched scream from about 100 yards away. In the morning the witness found dry leaves in the sound area and was puzzled at hearing no movement noise.

The witness, age 11 at the time, was in bed when a large shadow was cast on the bedroom wall from outside the window for about 20 to 30 seconds. A few minutes later the witness heard the back storage room door being ripped off and sounds of ransacking, including the freezer being opened and heavy objects moved. The next morning the storage room was found in disarray with the door off, faint scratches without tool marks, and frozen foods missing.

The witness and his wife were lying awake in a lakeside cabin at night when his wife repeatedly said a raccoon was looking in a small rear window. After several minutes he rolled over quickly and saw a dark-faced, brown-furred creature with a large conical head peering in, which left within seconds. The next morning he found a single large heel/footprint about eight inches wide in mud by a small stream behind the cabin.

The witness was walking alone through a small college forest on a trail to work on a dark winter evening. Something off the trail followed alongside her, keeping pace and making increasingly loud breaking and movement sounds, and she glimpsed a very tall blocky dark shape moving beside her while hearing breathing. She stayed on the trail with it alongside until the edge of the woods, then ran to a nearby building while it remained in the woods.
