The witness became stranded alone when a car sank in soft sand on a remote forest road. While digging out the tires, the witness was struck by a thrown rock, then heard movement, footsteps and loud hissing vocalizations from the surrounding brush. A large wet adult creature and a smaller juvenile were then seen at close range crossing the road, throwing material at the car, before disappearing into the forest.

On the second evening the witness walked a sandy horse trail about a half mile from an earlier brush trail. He reported hearing an unfamiliar screech/growl, answering wood knocks, loud stomping nearby, and a rock thrown past him, followed by crashing in the brush. He then found a very large bare footprint that he photographed with his shoe for scale before leaving quickly without ever seeing the source.

A lone hunter lying prone in a pine plantation in the early afternoon watched three tall dark figures cross about 10 yards in front of him. The figures walked upright in single file into a cypress swamp, after which loud banging sounds were heard from the swamp. The witness was driving slowly at night when she saw about ten wild pigs feeding near the road and a large dark hairy figure crouched beside a boulder behind them watching the pigs. She watched it for about a minute before driving on. She turned around a few minutes later to look again, but the figure was gone.

At dusk in 2012 the witness was sitting alone in a tree stand during archery season. He heard a loud scream from a nearby swamp, then heard heavy footsteps circling behind him where he could not see. An object was thrown through the trees over him and a stone struck the tree he was in, after which he yelled toward the sounds and left for his truck.

A couple on a day trip to a lake house noticed an unusually large footprint in marshy mud beside the dock. They left the dock for a closer look and described a very deep right footprint about 11-12 inches long and 5 inches wide with well-formed toes, heading toward the lake. One witness found his own foot barely sank when trying to recreate the depth, and the pair had no camera and found the print gone on return.

Shortly after moving to Sarasota, the witness and his companion were followed down the beach late at night by an orange ball of light that stopped when they stopped. The witness was walking his two dogs behind his house in the early evening when the dogs froze staring at the woods and then fled inside. The witness then watched what he first thought was a 3- to 4-foot stump stand up into a 7- to 8-foot hair-covered biped. The creature grunted, walked deeper into the woods with heavy steps in a zig-zag path, glanced back with a growl, and disappeared near a gas-line dirt road, leaving a wet-dog and pine-sap odor.

The witness was bow hunting from a tree stand in Ocala National Forest. About 45 minutes after daylight he heard a loud crash he interpreted as something large thrown toward him from about 250 feet away, followed by a very loud scream that continued as the source moved away for at least 1,000 yards. He stayed in the stand out of fear and did not see the source because the forest was too thick.

The witness was driving south alone at night when a large hairy biped crossed the road in front of the car in two strides and dropped into roadside bushes. The creature was described as tall and thickly built with long hair, a conical head, very long arms and very large feet, running upright without looking at the car. The witness did not stop to investigate because it was dark.

The witness was attending a daytime work meeting at a remote construction site southeast of Orlando when he noticed movement along a distant tree line. He watched a large hair-covered bipedal figure peek from behind trees as if observing the group, then walk away on two legs after a couple minutes. Shortly after the meeting he inspected the spot and found crushed undergrowth and a trail, estimating the figure's height at about eight feet by comparing to tree limbs. No other members of the group appeared to notice the figure.

The witness was driving to collect her husband after he hit an alligator and disabled his car. As she slowed at sunrise to photograph the carcass, she noticed a dark figure about a block away moving away from the road into the woods. She first thought it was a ranch hand but later interpreted it as a possible Skunk Ape drawn to the roadkill.
