The figure crossed a driveway between wooded areas toward distant power lines, slouching and swinging its arms, with no hat, clothing, or snowshoes and a head that appeared to sit directly on its shoulders. The observation lasted a few minutes as the car moved, with the dark figure standing out against snow and sunlight. The witness first thought it was a man but concluded a man could not have walked that slope in deep snow so easily.

The witness was making dinner in the kitchen and looking out the back window toward the woods when he noticed a large black figure crouched behind a tree. He saw a long hairy arm and a foot protruding from behind the tree and judged it too large to be a man. He ran to alert his father, but the figure was gone by the time his father reached the window. A later search found no tracks or impressions.
