The witness was tent camping with friends after a motorcycle ride when he was awakened by loud calls across the lake that were answered from nearby uphill. The nearby caller moved downhill toward the campground, with calls growing louder and heavy footsteps felt shaking the ground, then passed through his campsite calling. It then splashed into the cold lake and continued across while a distant caller answered, leaving the witness frozen with fear.
