While making the cast, nearby bushes rustled violently and the top of a small tree snapped off and fell near the road, followed by several whinny-like vocalizations from the woods. Days later the witness believed an outline of a figure appeared in one photo and reported being followed on later visits to check for more prints.

After hearing rustling in the woods, the witness observed a tall hairy figure in profile moving very quickly on two legs with its arms swaying. The relative did not see the figure. The witness initially considered a bear but rejected that idea because the figure lacked bear-like ears and a snout.

The witness, a seasonal parks worker, arrived alone at Amco park early in the morning to clean. A relative reportedly found a set of bipedal tracks in snow and followed them in both directions. The tracks are described as unusually deep with a very long average stride, leading from a swampy area through hardwood forest to within 20 yards of a cabin before being lost at a plowed road. Photographs with a yardstick and boot for scale were reportedly taken.

The figure moved with a long stride and high, marching-like arm swings with open hands, then disappeared behind bushes. The witness then heard loud branch-breaking sounds followed by quiet, became uneasy, and left the area.

A press report said three large footprint-like impressions were found on a Monday in the wooded Blue Hills area near Rice Lake. An investigator described the impressions as about 16 to 17.5 inches long and 8 inches wide, with one showing five toes and a stride of about 4.5 feet, suggesting a Bigfoot. The son later said a picture on a Bigfoot website matched what he saw, described as having red eyes and bent over with hands on knees. About two decades ago a woman washing dishes at night saw a large hairy-faced man looking through the window above her sink. Police were called and during the subsequent search an officer saw a tall man-like figure run across a highway. Very large tracks with a long stride were found but dogs could not track anything and the figure vanished into river bottoms. A later visitor examined a cast and said weight distribution argued against a fake shoe.

Four young men drove late at night to find a reputedly haunted mansion and nearby infant grave. Two of them approached an iron-gated house that appeared well-kept and spoke with a very old woman in historic clothing who held a candle and gave directions using wagon trails. After hearing loud infant crying at the grave site, they drove past the house again and found it dilapidated and overgrown, though the woman with the candle could still be seen inside. The group fled and never discussed the night together again.

As he drove closer and passed it, he screamed in terror while the creature continued walking without reacting. He stopped briefly at an intersection, feeling panicked and highly agitated, but did not look back at the creature's face.

Around midday in a bog near a wilderness lake he found four to five large human-like footprints with distinct toes in the mud.
