Sasquatch sighting in New Jersey (1980)
The witness was hiking with companions through woods toward a familiar spring when they noticed a large dome-shaped structure woven from vegetation beside a water-filled fire cut, with a partially consumed deer carcass inside. Shortly after examining the carcass from across the cut, the group heard movement and saw a very tall, muscular, reddish-brown hair-covered being standing in the open about 30 to 40 feet away. The being emitted an extremely loud, escalating scream that the witness felt in the chest, then lunged toward the group. The group fled back along the trail without looking back until reaching near home, and did not report the event to family at the time.

The witness was driving home from work at dusk on Skyline Drive when rounding a bend she saw the lower portion of a hairy human-like creature crossing the road. The figure moved from the center of her lane off the roadway and into the woods in a single step. She did not see the upper body and stated it was definitely not human.

The witness claims they stopped while biking in woods to wait for companions when a branch snapped about 40 feet away. A tall hair-covered human-proportioned figure stared silently at them, stooped its head to peer, then raised an arm for balance and stepped into the woods out of sight. The witness says they froze, briefly glanced toward companions, then looked back to find the figure still there before it left.

Two 11-year-olds were sitting on a rock in the woods when they heard a dead tree fall. They looked up and saw a tall creature walking from right to left toward a stream, which seemed to ignore them. They ran quickly out of the woods, and their small dog that ran toward the creature later returned home unharmed.
Recollection of a possible late night stalking on Waterloo Road in Allamuchy
In August 1977 the witness was walking along Waterloo Road at night after missing a ride and trying to hitchhike. He heard something moving through the woods alongside the road that sounded bipedal and kept pace with him, running when he ran and walking when he walked, for about a mile. The night was very dark and he never saw the source, eventually getting a ride near houses.

Late at night in summer 1977, the witness was driving a van with four companions back to camp when a tall bipedal figure crossed the road in front of them. Headlights illuminated its shape and eyes as it moved from a low area toward a mountain embankment. The driver stopped and searched the roadside with a light, heard movement in the brush but found no tracks, and later reported the incident to police.

A couple driving late at night on a secluded dirt road saw a hairy biped step into their headlights. It paused in front of the car, turned its head to look at them, then continued across the road into the woods. Both occupants watched the brief crossing and described a brown-haired, ape-like figure about six feet tall with very long arms.

Two companions walking on a trail toward a fishing spot in the late afternoon saw a tall dark figure cross the trail about 50 yards ahead. The figure took a couple steps, paused to look at them, then moved away quickly and disappeared from view. The witnesses went to the crossing point but could no longer see the figure and found no tracks aside from rub marks, then returned home without fishing.

A family on a farm found a solid wooden garage door torn off and eight pet rabbits killed and mutilated with little blood, after hearing a woman-like scream. On subsequent nights they saw a seven-foot hairy creature near the road and under the yard light. They fired on it as it entered the coop and came toward them, then sent children away. Police blamed a bear, raccoon or wild dog.

After two young companions reported seeing a large white-covered creature at the woods edge, the witness retrieved a spotlight and went with them toward the woods behind the apartments. From about fifty feet away the light revealed glowing red eyes and a large two-legged silhouette standing behind trees. The group fled to tell parents, who did not believe them.

Two youths walking home at night saw what looked like a horse under a streetlight. When one joked about riding it, the animal reared, showed wings, and chased them. They heard hooves behind them as they fled home, and fresh scratches were found on a newly painted door the next morning.

Two teenagers walking west along a feeder stream around midday saw four dark creatures about 75 yards away on and around the stream bank. The largest stood about eight feet tall while the others were sitting, lying, and standing in the water, and the group watched the witnesses for a few minutes. The pair ran east to a power-line cut and then south to a highway, went home, and told only their parents.

Two scouts walking on a gravel road in a pine forest at night smelled a foul odor and heard gravel being disturbed. They then saw a large, hairy silhouette run across the road and fled back to camp. When they told their scout leader, he laughed and sent them to bed.

A very large dark long-haired figure walking upright then came down the stream, stopped nearby, and looked toward the witness. Late on a Friday night in October 1969, the witness and a driver were sitting talking in a parked car near woods and a brook. The witness noticed two red eyes in the road ahead, and when headlights were turned on they saw a hairy bipedal figure that stood up and slowly waddled into the woods. The witness ran inside a house while the driver drove away, and later told the witness's mother about the sighting.

The witness, then a teenager, was riding in a car with friends at night near Allaire State Park when they heard a high-pitched screech. While making a K-turn, the headlights illuminated a very tall reddish-brown manlike figure very close to the front of the car. The figure appeared surprised by the lights, the driver froze, a companion honked the horn with no immediate reaction, and a musty smell was noticed.

The witness was camping overnight with a large scout group near a lake when a large pot of food disappeared from camp. Throughout the night the group heard bushes thrashing, repeated tree knocks, and loud long whistles coming from different sides of the camp. Counselors kept everyone by the fire until daylight, when another scout group helped them leave and police were called but reportedly found nothing.

Teens have scary encounter in abandoned creamery near Sussex
Two teenagers exploring an abandoned creamery had the companion climb a ladder to the upper floor, where he reported a foul smell and hairy legs behind a box. Both then heard heavy running overhead with ceiling boards moving, and saw a large hairy figure break through a wall, cross a roof, and appear directly after loading doors blew open. They watched it run away through a cornfield for several seconds until it went over or through a fence and disappeared.
