On the evening of Feb. 14, 2009, the witness and her husband were in their upstairs bedroom with the windows open when they heard unusual monkey-like whooping sounds from the woods around the house. The series of whoops was heard twice and prompted barking from neighborhood dogs. They drove briefly around the area but did not hear the sounds again.

From about 50 feet he watched for about 10 seconds as it loped down the road with an uneven back motion and then disappeared into the woods on the other side. He noted thin legs with longer rear legs, no visible tail or ears, and a head held low, which did not match a bear or loose cow to him.

At noon on a clear day, two men standing on high ground overlooking a pond watched a tall, black hair-covered biped walk through pines behind the pond for about 100 feet. They estimated its height at 8-9 feet using a 4-foot fence for scale and said it walked casually without noticing them. When it should have entered an open clearing it was gone, and a search of the area found no trace.

The witness shone a flashlight but never saw what was throwing the objects, and the group left when the objects landed too close.

The witness and a companion were driving home from church at night on Highway 101 when they noticed movement on the right side of the road. They slowed thinking it was a deer, but the animal stood on two legs and crossed the road. They described a very large, wide, hair-covered creature that moved easily and quickly disappeared.

It was fully lit by the headlights, its eyes reflecting brightly, and it grasped the top of a road sign as it stepped off the road. The witness described it as nearly eight feet tall with dark red hair.

After a quiet interval, the two heard only distant noises when they went out again at midnight.

The figure stared and turned its head to watch her as she moved to the far side of the road and walked quickly home while praying without running.

The figure was described as tall and grayish with long arms and a conical-shaped head, moving in a casual, unhurried manner. The account was submitted by a relative of the driver, with additional details obtained when an investigator spoke to the driver by phone.
