Late at night the witness stepped onto the porch for a smoke and heard an unfamiliar terrifying vocalization. Shining a light, the witness saw the silhouette of a tall bipedal figure near the pond that stood up and ran off, with vocalizations continuing fainter into the distance. A relative living in the house came outside and heard the final vocalization and a distant gunshot, and another relative later arrived to find the area empty.

The witness and a relative examined the pond area after the event and noted depressed weeds/grass and possible heel impression but found no confirmed tracks.
A relative played recorded vocalizations for the witness, who said the 1994 Ohio howl matched what was heard except louder.
