The witness and his sister examined three large barefoot-like impressions found on a closed section of trail near timberline. The clearest impression showed a heel, arch, ball and five toes and was compared on video to a size-12 hiking boot. No animal was seen, and no further prints were found as the ground became harder toward the parked vehicles.

A couple driving slowly at night in snow claim a very tall, dark, massive figure crossed the highway in front of their truck and nearby cars while illuminated by headlights. They said it covered the road in only three to four long strides and then vanished to the west side. After a pause they agreed to each other that it had looked like bigfoot.

The witness and a relative were elk hunting from a ridge overlooking beaver ponds near dusk and called for elk. In response they heard loud, prolonged howling and whining vocalizations from multiple animals on the opposite ridge, repeated over about 10-15 minutes. They also heard splashing and saw ripples on a pond but saw no animals, then left quickly for their vehicle.

The witness was returning on foot to camp at night after sitting and hunting in a mountain park. He heard steps, snapping and rustling following him for some distance to an open moonlit bald. After waiting there and then entering timber on the far side, he looked back and saw a large dark shape where he had sat stand up and come toward him; after he shouted it ran into the trees.

A family hiking around a high-elevation lake above treeline near Leadville found footprint-like depressions in moss between glacial rocks and found additional depressions on further search. They also noted moss torn from boulders, chewed, and left in neat piles, and heard grouped rapping sounds on each of three visits over three days. They recorded the tracks and moss on video and made a cast of one track. No animal was seen.

A solo hiker descending a high mountain trail heard a very loud scream-growl vocalization and stopped to scan. He saw a tall, hairy biped about 50 yards away at the forest edge staring at him for several seconds, tilting its head before turning and running fast into the pines out of sight. He then continued down the trail anxiously without photographing it.

While guiding two clients and accompanied by his wife on an elk hunt, the witness reported hearing a low guttural vocalization that he did not recognize as elk or bear. After moving to an aspen grove, the group heard loud repeated knocking sounds likened to logs or sticks hitting trees. The next day after snowfall, the witness returned and found a fresh cow elk carcass with its chest torn open and large indistinct tracks with a long stride nearby.

The witness was driving west on a snowy highway at night when headlights revealed two upright, furry figures walking in the middle of the river. The witness pulled over and watched them from about 30 feet away, noting human-like shape with long arms, elbows and knees, and a face-to-face look with the nearer one. After passing them and getting out to look upriver, the witness waited several minutes but the figures did not reappear around the bend, then drove home.

After hiking Mt. Massive, the witness was walking toward the trailhead parking lot in daylight when he heard loud crunching footsteps moving away through dense trees to his right. The unseen source, estimated 100 to 150 feet away, produced two identical very loud deep resonant barks spaced about 20 to 30 seconds apart. He never saw the animal and heard nothing else. He first assumed a bear but later doubted it because the steps sounded bipedal and he found no matching bear sound.

A bow hunter located his downed elk after dark and heard a large heavy animal moving nearby in brush. The animal circled him and stayed close despite shouting, then seemed to follow him as he hiked back to camp. After retrieving a handgun at camp he heard footsteps again and rushed toward them, hearing something crash away. The next morning he returned to find the elk carcass untouched.

The witness and three companions camped over multiple rainy nights. They heard persistent huffing and a growl, experienced silence and a sense of being watched, and reported a dark shape blocking a camper window. When leaving they later found muddy primate-like handprints high on the camper and a trailer lock twisted and broken.

While stopped at a picnic-area parking lot on the Pike's Peak road, the witness stood atop a large rock formation while a parent prepared to take a photograph from below. The witness reported noticing a black, large-bodied creature in motion about 100 feet behind the parent and shouted for the parent to look, but the parent did not turn. The creature was gone within a few seconds. The witness stated the animal was not a bear.

Late at night the witness and her two children were eating at home when a very loud, prolonged cry was heard from near the front yard. The sound lasted several seconds and frightened the family, who froze and then moved upstairs to wait. No animal was seen and a later check reportedly found no tracks.

The witness was hiking with dogs on a packed snow trail when other dogs began barking at something ahead. He saw a gorilla-like furry creature sitting in the shade of a pine about 50 yards away watching the dogs. After he tripped in a snow hole, the creature left over the ridge, showing only the back of its head. Deep snow prevented him from following or finding tracks.

The witness and a companion were driving at night toward Pagosa Springs after watching a boxing match. About 20 yards ahead a creature crossed the county road quickly in front of them. They stopped where it crossed and saw footprints in snow on the road before driving away fast.

Two relatives of the witness found two large barefoot-like prints in fresh snow off a road near their cabin and brought the witness to see them. He compared his size 10 1/2 shoe to one print and estimated it was about 14 inches long and twice as wide, with a slight arch curve. The prints were noted as fairly far apart, and the witness questioned who would be barefoot in that isolated area.

A few days later they found two large footprints in a wash near a marshy area a couple hundred feet from the cabin. The witness and a companion were hiking a high-elevation trail with two dogs when they heard a very loud, rhythmic wailing and moaning sound from a pine cluster about 50-75 yards away. The sound lasted several minutes and seemed to move toward them, growing louder, which frightened the witness and held the dogs' fixed attention without prompting a chase. They left without seeing the source, and minutes later a ranger they met said she had also heard the unfamiliar sound.

Two hikers with a dog descended from the continental divide into a boggy meadow beside a large stream. They heard noises from the opposite bank and then saw a large hairy brown-and-black animal watch them for several seconds. The animal then moved away downstream through brush on two legs with a long loping gait. The witness noted the dog remained calm, unlike its usual reaction to wild animals.
