In August 2010 the witness was home around 2 a.m. and smelled a very strong body odor. The witness's two dogs had refused to go outside earlier and stared at the window without barking. The witness got up to close the windows and reports never smelling anything like that before.

The witness and his father took a harvested deer to another cabin at night to dress it. While the witness was cleaning the deer, a loud rising whoop followed by three shorter whoops was heard from beyond the cabin and lasted several seconds. Both men were frightened, retreated to the truck, and left soon after the cleaning was finished. A search the next morning found no trace.

The witness camped alone for several nights using a thermal imager. On the fourth night an object was thrown near the tent, then a heat signature was seen peeking over brush along a trail. The figure stood and ran away bipedally while brush thrashed on both sides, and the witness left the thermal recording overnight.

The witness was walking downstream along the Sioux River after trout fishing when he noticed a small black furry creature on the bank ahead. The creature immediately launched itself arms-first into the deepest pool and disappeared underwater without resurfacing during several minutes of watching. In July 2006 the witness was biking through a swampy, wooded area toward a friend's house in the late afternoon. Near a knoll the witness heard sticks breaking and footsteps, then saw a tall dark figure to the side and heard a frightening vocalization. The witness screamed and pedaled away fast while continuing to hear breaking sticks, and the creature reportedly fled bipedally in the opposite direction during about ten seconds of observation.

The witness was outside with children near the barn just before sunset when a loud howl was heard from about 100 yards to the south. Five or six howls followed as the source moved over a mile in about two minutes, seeming to face the witness while moving downhill. The witness was bowhunting from a treestand just after dark when he heard several loud howls followed by a scream from several hundred yards down the valley. Unable to recognize the sounds despite extensive hunting experience, he quickly left the tree and took a logging road by ATV about 3.5 miles back to camp.

The witness was driving home south of Peshtigo at dusk when headlights caught a large dark creature crossing the highway in front of the car. The witness slowed and watched it cross the southbound lanes, median, and northbound lanes into the woods over several seconds. The witness also noticed a strong skunk-like odor, then secured the car and left the area.
Family in a camper describes stalking outside town of Hatfield
A couple camping overnight in a camper with their children awoke around 2 a.m. to the sound of bipedal footsteps circling the camper. After turning on lights, shouting, and checking outside with a flashlight revealed nothing and the steps repeatedly resumed, the family left for a town parking lot. They returned in the morning but found no tracks in the leaf-covered ground.

The witness claims that while hiking alone in cedar swampland, a hair-covered creature followed and watched him for over an hour, moving only when he moved and mimicking his crouching actions. The witness says he observed it in partial views from shadows, including its eyes and part of its face from about 30 yards behind an uprooted tree. The creature eventually disappeared near a clear-cut area after the witness waited an hour without it reappearing.

Two occupants of a five-person vehicle reported seeing a brown upright figure beside a wooded road while driving back from fishing. The figure was described as dropping straight down to a crouch behind bushes as the vehicle passed. The view lasted only a split second and the group did not turn back to investigate.

The witness was walking back from the mailbox in the afternoon when she heard deep man-like grunts and thumping from a brush thicket beside the driveway. She saw part of a large reddish-brown fur-covered animal, hunched over and rubbing or pounding its head or shoulders on trees. When she moved to get a better view, the animal ran toward her growling with heavy footfalls, and she fled to the house as it hit downed trees and stopped at the brush edge.

During deer season in November 2002, the witness was walking a road near Phillips looking for deer when he saw an upright figure coming toward him. He first thought it was a black bear but, viewing it through a rifle scope from about 200 yards, concluded it was man-like and not a bear or human. When the witness crouched, the figure stopped then ran on two legs into an alder swamp, leaping over water and moving quickly through difficult bog ground.
