The figure stood taller than a fence and walked upright before disappearing over a ridge. The witnesses, who said they had not taken Bigfoot seriously before, told family about the sighting.

The witness was descending from Seneca Rocks on a shortcut and became lost in rough rocky terrain. They heard heavy footsteps and branches cracking, then saw the back of a tall orange-brown haired creature moving uphill about 30 yards away. The creature continued uphill quickly over rocks and disappeared, and the witness returned to the trail to tell family.

Late at night the witness was driving with a companion toward a fishing and camping area when furry upright beings appeared in the roadway in front of the vehicle. The witness saw two beings while the companion reported a third walking ahead, and the beings looked at the vehicle before diving headfirst into roadside brush. The sighting lasted only seconds, after which the witnesses decided not to camp.

The witness and two companions were backpacking and camping in a wilderness area, working to start a fire at dusk when the witness and one companion heard a loud, long howl-like scream repeated three times from far up a hollow. The witness judged it unlike any known local animal call. Later that night after the fire burned down, the witness alone heard loud stomping and large branches snapping near the creek close to camp for a few minutes.

The witness was driving south on Route 55 near Seneca Rocks late at night in rain while towing a trailer when he saw a tall hair-covered biped about 20 feet away. The witness was riding an ATV alone at night on ridgetop trails when he stopped in dense brush and a large rock passed just in front of his head, followed by a deep growl felt in the chest. He fled on the ATV but ran out of fuel a short distance away and while trying to restart heard loud heavy bipedal steps approaching from behind. He got the machine restarted and rode home without stopping, and later saw the rock sitting beside the trail for years.

The witness was driving alone at night on a two-lane highway when the headlights revealed a tall hair-covered figure standing on the edge line. The figure stayed motionless and stiff as the car passed very close, with the sighting lasting about ten seconds. The witness continued driving without stopping and later told relatives, who were skeptical.

The witness spent the summer camping in a tent in a meadow while working away from home. On many nights he was awakened after midnight by repeated long moaning sounds and at times heard walking sounds near camp, but a flashlight search revealed nothing. He also reported occasionally hearing wood knocks and bipedal footsteps trailing him along the woodline, with the source staying hidden behind vegetation.

The witness was alone at a riverside base camp in the afternoon when she saw two dark, slender bipedal figures walking on the opposite river trail around a bend. When she reached the riverbank moments later they had vanished with no place to hide except a steep vegetated canyon wall. A radio check confirmed the hiking group had not passed anyone, and when group members later stood at the same spot they looked much smaller and bulkier than the figures.
