On the first night of an October 2004 expedition, four participants walked a stretch of mountain road making wood knocks. They heard deep grunting sounds from the woods, then later heard two loud scream-like vocalizations from different sides of the road, one a few hundred yards away and one within about 50 yards. They stated the screams started as a low moan and rose to a high-pitched screech and were unlike any known local animal sounds.
Elk hunter hears loud screams at night near Deadman's Lake
The witness backpacked to Deadman's Lake for a one-night stay during elk season. Before dark he heard a distant howl, then at about 11:24 p.m. he was awakened by a loud high-pitched screaming howl from the meadow next to his camp. He opened the tent with a light and camera but saw nothing and did not hear the sound again, though nearby owls called afterward. In the morning he searched and found only elk and no unusual sign before packing out as weather turned.

The witness was driving north with three companions when the two occupants in the front seat watched a large figure run across the road from right to left and disappear into dense woods and brush. A passenger in the back seat saw the figure only as it entered the brush. The front-seat witnesses described uniform coloration, very big running strides, and a forward-hunched posture, and said it never looked toward them.
Family and friends hear a late night vocalization from their home near Lake Sutherland
The witness reports a very loud simultaneous whistle, scream and growl coming from about 70 feet across the road from the cabin. The sound was heard by the witness and five other people and was described as unlike any known animal. An investigator later interviewed the witness and companions about the vocalization and noted inconclusive evidence in the area.

The witness was driving west on the highway in the late afternoon when he came around a curve and saw a large dark creature at the guardrail on the right. The creature stood upright, turned its head to look at him, then turned and leapt feet-first off the embankment out of sight. The witness believed it was not a bear because of its flat face, wide shoulders, and upright movement over the guardrail.
Driver has road-cross sighting on Highway 2, north of Leavenworth
The witness was driving on Highway 2 when the car ahead stopped to avoid an animal crossing the road. The witness stopped behind that car and watched the animal from behind as it reached the left side of the road and walked into the bushes. The witness later concluded it was too tall and thin to have been a bear.
Two neighbors hear mournful screams from nearby Nason Ridge
Last summer the witness was in bed at a cabin bordering dense national forest when she heard prolonged yelling from a ridge behind the house, estimated at about a half-mile away. The mournful calls lasted 2-4 seconds each with brief pauses and continued for about an hour, which frightened her. She did not see the source and reported nothing else unusual.
Campers Awaken to Unknown Vocalizations, Brush Popping and Foul Odor
About 2 a.m., dozens of campers were awakened by loud prolonged screams from the woods east of the campground. Six campers entered the woods with flashlights toward the sound about 200-300 ft from the perimeter, smelled a foul odor and heard loud brush movement and wood cracking, then retreated. The screams lasted 20-25 minutes total, fading to the east with a similar sound from the south, followed by coyotes howling.

On a hot midday in 2004, the witness was walking alone on an overgrown forest road while cave hunting with her husband nearby in dense brush. After hearing gravel move behind her, she saw a huge cinnamon-colored hairy human-like figure cross a ditch in one or two fast quiet steps and stop motionless behind trees, leaving only a massive shoulder and long muscular arm visible. Frozen with fear, she slowly backed away about 100 yards before shouting for her husband, who arrived after the figure had vanished.
Bigfoot print in cement
The witness had a 12 by 24 foot cement pad poured for a new dog kennel and then was out of town for the weekend. Between Friday evening and Saturday late afternoon, something left a very large footprint in the middle of the wet cement, which then hardened permanently. The witness also found another possible print in dirt beside the pad about 10-12 feet away, photographed the cement print, and asked for help identifying what made it.

Three women driving from Lake Quinault toward the coast in the afternoon saw a tall, dark-haired bipedal animal cross the highway in front of their pickup. The animal glanced toward them, continued across without hurrying, and disappeared into brush on the far side. The driver sped up to get a closer look but the animal had finished crossing by the time they passed.
Outdoorsman hears vocalizations near Tinkham Campground
The witness was camping alone at Tinkham at last light when the woods fell completely silent. Loud, human-like whistles were then heard from multiple directions to the east, appearing to go back and forth for about a minute before stopping abruptly with a branch snap. Occasional branch-crunch sounds continued nearby for about an hour while the witness stayed at the fire, then slept in the truck without feeling threatened.

Two people stopped on a remote logging road at dusk to check their truck bed before meeting friends at a campsite. After getting back in with headlights on, they saw a large hair-covered figure standing in the road about 15-20 feet ahead. Before they could react, it jumped from a standstill up and over a roughly six-foot road bank and disappeared silently.

The witness was driving out of a campground near Baker Lake in the early afternoon when she noticed a large fur-covered creature about 50 feet away up a hill. The creature was still and crouching with its back turned, exposing its back, shoulders, hips and upper buttocks with sparse reddish hair and visible musculature. After watching for a few seconds and not wanting to disturb it, she drove away.

The witness had pitched a tent for the night off a forest road while traveling home and was awake reading inside the tent. He heard a long shriek/howl followed by multiple short bark/grunt sounds lasting about 90 seconds in total. His dog woke for the final seconds and stared into the darkness, and the forest had gone silent just before the calls, which he judged to be about a mile away.

The witness was inspecting a dug-up septic drain field at a house construction site and found three large barefoot human-like tracks in loose soil where shoes barely left marks.
