Daylight sighting by motorists near Humptulips

The witness was driving north with three companions when the two occupants in the front seat watched a large figure run across the road from right to left and disappear into dense woods and brush. A passenger in the back seat saw the figure only as it entered the brush. The front-seat witnesses described uniform coloration, very big running strides, and a forward-hunched posture, and said it never looked toward them.

An investigator spoke with two of the witnesses for about thirty-five minutes, after which they reportedly maintained what they saw was not human or bear and were struck by how quickly it vanished.
