Daylight road-crossing sighting by the U.S. Postal Carrier for the town of Quinault Lake (w/ low quality cellphone photos)
The witness was driving a mail route in the morning when he saw an upright figure in the road ahead. As he drove closer the figure walked upright off the road into brush beside a stump, where he took a cell phone photo. He estimated the figure at about seven to eight feet tall, very dark with several-inch-long hair, and said it did not resemble local wildlife he knows well.
Morning sighting by a woodcutter NW of Conconully
The witness was driving on a mountain road toward a firewood cutting spot when the dog alerted to the left. The witness stopped and saw a tall dark figure look at him while walking behind a large slash pile about 75 yards away near the tree line. The figure did not reappear from the other side, and when the witness drove forward it was gone, apparently having gone into the woods. The witness did not get out to look for tracks.
Two very tall hairy creatures seen running down the road at night near Indianola
Late at night the witness was driving home on a forested road and saw two tall dark bipedal figures running ahead in the headlights. The pair ran down the roadway for six to eight seconds, one near the centerline and one on the shoulder, before both veered off into the treeline. The witness did not stop and continued home.
Possible vocalizations heard near a fish hatchery on the Humptulips River
The witness and companions were camping overnight beside a river when whooping vocalizations began from across the river in the early morning hours. The witness described a nearer caller and a more distant caller answering each other for about an hour. The witness and two companions reported hearing the sounds, while no other animals or insects were heard.
Dusk and nighttime sightings by couple at rock quarry near Greenwater
A couple drove into an old rock quarry at dusk and saw a large gray human-shaped figure standing in front of their car. They watched it quickly climb a steep gravel slope on all fours, stand bipedally at the top, and walk into the woods. Later that night a sheriff's spotlight illuminated the same figure at the woods edge before it left, and the couple packed up and departed.
Loud vocalizations heard on ridge near Wynoochee River ~10 miles north of Montesano
The witness was at his ranch at night when dogs barked repeatedly from about 1:30 to 4:30 a.m. He went outside around 3 a.m. and heard repeated drawn-out howl-like calls. A second witness later described hearing the same 7-8 second howl repeated three times.

The witness was walking on a dirt road in the evening when a gray-brown figure was seen standing between bushes at a distance. After the witness spoke, the figure made a loud grunt, then turned toward a second grunt heard deeper in the forest and walked away. The witness ran back to a relative, and a next-day visit found a broken branch and flattened vegetation but no footprints.

The occupants of a pickup became lost on logging roads late at night and stopped after the reporter noticed huge glowing eyes ahead. The reporter stared at the eyes and then made out a large black bulky form with massive forearms that stayed motionless in the headlights. The form then moved rapidly up a brushy hillside as the group drove away frightened.
Husband and wife hear possible vocalizations on Harstine Island
A couple arriving at their cabin heard distant, deep vocalizations lasting about five minutes. The sounds were described as long, low-pitched roar-like screams with a growly tone that dropped lower in pitch. Their dogs became clingy and whined, and were brought inside. The husband first suggested elk or coyote but concluded the depth and duration were not human or known animal.

Four people driving logging roads found large footprints in about a foot of snow beside the road. After photographing an initial line of about six prints, they found a longer line of more than thirty prints on a landing. They concluded the prints were not human because of the large size, five toes, and long stride that the witness could not recreate.
Possible vocalizations heard by resident outside Verlot
The witness was at home in the evening when barking dogs drew him outside onto the porch. From a distance he heard loud repeated vocalizations that began low and rose to a scream, apparently moving west past his location and then back south before fading after about five minutes. He described the sound as unlike any animal he knew from hunting experience and later felt it matched an archival scream recording except for a lower start.

Late at night in winter, the witness was driving on a gravel road when the headlights revealed a large black hairy animal moving on all fours. The animal paused in the middle of the road for a second or two, looked at the witness, then moved quickly into the brush. The witness left the area quickly.

A witness and his son were driving slowly while spotting for deer when they noticed a large dark upright figure moving through brush toward them. The son photographed it with a cellphone as it traveled parallel to the road, paused to look at them, then crossed the narrow road in two steps and vanished into dense brush. Investigators later interviewed the witnesses, examined the photos, and revisited the site for measurements.
Possible vocalizations near Indianola
Early one Sunday morning in November 2007, the witness let the dog out before work and heard a distant howl or moan that did not sound like cougar or coyote. The sound continued for about 10 minutes, stopped while the witness went inside, then resumed in short bursts about 30 minutes later. The witness noted it sounded similar to a recording from Westmoreland, PA heard during prior research and has not heard it again despite listening daily.

The witness was camping overnight and emerged from the tent in the morning to hear four loud heavy footsteps moving uphill. About an hour later both the witness and a companion heard repeated loud impacts like rock striking wood with pauses, followed by footsteps in the woods. Feeling watched, the witness packed up and left without seeing the source.

While riding a tour boat that was dropping off firefighters, the witness saw a large dark figure walking on the shore near a creek mouth. The witness's wife also saw the figure and described it as orangutan-like but more upright. The witness photographed it as it walked back into the woods and later saw the figure when zooming in on the images.
California BFRO researcher has sighting with a thermal imaging unit in Wenatchee National Forest
Shortly before midnight during a multi-camp expedition, the witness borrowed a handheld thermal imager to look for the cause of a branch break near camp. Through the imager he watched a large unclothed human-like figure partly behind a tree about 30-50 yards away for over two minutes as it moved its head, dropped to the ground, crawled and gestured, then stood motionless with its back to him. He left to get recording equipment, but the figure was gone when another researcher checked moments later.
Group of climbers hear possible vocalizations near Cougar
The witness and four companions camped on a logging spur to climb Mount St Helens. Around 2-3 a.m., the witness and one companion awoke to very loud, distant, deep howling that lasted about 15 minutes. They had not heard the sound before and ruled out cougar and elk, tentatively considering a bear but finding it too loud for a bear at that distance. No visual contact or physical evidence was reported, and the sound was heard on only one of three nights at the site.

Four adults spent the day trap shooting at a dead-end road near a washed-out bridge. During a lunch break they noticed a tall dark stump-like shape about 25-30 yards into the forest and watched it remain motionless for 30-45 minutes. When they later looked again the shape was gone, leaving no matching stump. They concluded the object may have been a sasquatch calmly observing them despite hours of shotgun noise.

The witness was walking dogs along the Sammamish River in Marymoor Park in the afternoon. From riverside cover about 50 yards away, a loud sustained screeching-howl was heard, clearly audible over traffic noise, startling the witness and dogs. The sound repeated farther upriver and was followed by wood-on-wood knocking, with additional knocks heard later near an old windmill. The witness searched from the bank and bridge but saw no people or animals.
