The witness was alone by his parked car late at night after mountain biking. He heard very loud whoops exchanged back and forth for about ten seconds, followed by two sharp whistles, then silence. He waited and checked nearby trailheads but found no other people or vehicles.

Late at night the witness walked home alone along a familiar wooded trail and heard something moving parallel in the brush, breathing heavily. When the witness stopped the sounds stopped, and when walking resumed the follower kept pace. The witness ran toward home and the follower pursued onto gravel and pavement on two feet while making low growls and calls and trying to cut the witness off. At the house the witness's dog confronted the unseen pursuer, which halted very close before withdrawing into the brush.

After fishing, the witness sat on the bed of his truck at a parking area above a swamp at night. He watched a dark figure with shining eyes approach to within about 10 yards. After he whistled to announce his presence, the figure stood upright on two legs and retreated while watching him, tripped and got back up, then disappeared behind trees. He left immediately and did not return for some time.

The witness and two companions were sitting in a drift boat on the river in the evening when they heard loud chimp-like screaming and wailing from dense brush on the opposite cliff. The sound continued intermittently for a minute or more, but nothing making the sound could be seen. The witness noted the slope was extremely steep and difficult to access.

Later the pair moved to a second blind near a logging road and called for turkeys. The woods went silent and a very loud mid-pitched scream sounded from just behind them by the road. The witness left the blind and saw the same figure moving away through dense vegetation, breaking trees loudly, and both men left the area.

At sunrise the witness and his hunting partner glassed a replanted clearcut for turkeys. They heard a loud snap to the side and watched a tall dark figure move downhill away from them. The figure showed only head, shoulders and upper back above young trees and its steps produced audible thuds while moving in a smooth upright walk.

The witness was sitting with two companions around a fire behind the house near a wooded swamp late at night. They repeatedly heard a long whoop-like growling sound from the woods but saw nothing. The first occurrence was in late summer 2008, and similar sounds were heard again in March 2009.

Two hunters parked before sunrise in fog to hunt heard whooping and tongue-clicking calls from the treeline and heard the caller circle them in the woods. A thud was heard and felt on the road and a boulder that had not been there when they drove in was found in the road. They later heard a very large animal moving away breaking branches, found no sign after sunrise, and left to hunt elsewhere.

During a late-season muzzleloader elk hunt the witness and a companion found a large five-toed barefoot print in semi-frozen ground. That evening while glassing a prairie they heard a loud knock from about 150 yards away. The next morning they found three more large prints of the same size and shape in a sandy wash, spaced about 80 inches apart, with one beyond a log showing no break in stride.

The companion later reported hearing another more distant vocalization, and a morning search found no clear tracks in dense underbrush.

She later compared the sound to recordings and felt it matched a published Sasquatch howl recording.

After a few minutes he heard more branches breaking, then nothing further. Frightened, he packed up and left with the relative about half an hour later.
