The witness left a lakeside campground after dark in a pickup with a young child, followed by relatives in another vehicle. Headlights revealed a wolf/coyote-like animal down the road that then rose onto two legs to about the witness's height. The witness swerved to avoid it, and it lunged toward the tailgate as the truck passed, after which the witness sped to the end of the road and later told relatives who said the creature was known around the lake.

The witness drove out at night looking for a lost small dog and pulled to the side of a lonely road near a ball field and woods. While outside the pickup the witness heard brushing sounds and smelled a skunk-like odor, then got back inside. The back of the truck was then bumped hard enough to feel like a low-speed rear-ending, and a tall silhouette was seen in the taillights while a yell/scream was heard, prompting the witness to drive away.

The group heard grunting, whistling, chatter, footsteps and close tree-breaking, had pebbles and a rock thrown, and saw large upright black shadow figures with night vision and naked eyes. One figure was seen behind a truck and one coworker was startled by movement in brush, with no one seriously hurt.

On another night he shone a spotlight into a field and saw a large gray figure moving very fast and low like a spider on fingertips and toes. The guest, his wife and her brother were driving home with food when the guest and his brother-in-law saw a large dark figure cross an opening by a gate. The two men grabbed a rifle, followed on foot to a line of cedar and bow-dart trees, and watched it drop down a creek bank without crossing to the other side. They found a large twisted heel-weighted impression in soft wet ground much larger than the guest's boot.

At age 15 the guest was fishing alone at a creek near his father's house when he heard whoops and saw a large hairy figure behind a sycamore. He confronted it with a .22 rifle, and after it growled and roared he shot it in the throat, then in the hand, then multiple times in the chest as it screamed, broke saplings, and ran straight through a barbed-wire fence across a hay meadow. Later that day his father found broken trees, blood and hair on the sycamore, and blood and hair on the broken fence wires.

The guest, his sister and her boyfriend got their truck stuck crossing a dry creek while driving bottomland. They watched a dark figure come up out of the creek bed on all fours, then stand fully upright on two legs and stare at the truck. When high beams hit it, it covered its face with its arm, sprinted across the road in front of the truck, and disappeared up a brushy hill.

Game cameras repeatedly captured small glowing orbs, long straight laser-like beams originating in the forest and reaching the guest house, and larger orb-like forms with body-like shape over the roof and porch. The witness never saw them with her eyes, only in photos, and noted they came from the same slope where vocals were recorded.

After two researchers visited, played guitar, and threw rocks, a recorder left in the guest-house garage window captured about 30 minutes of baby-like crying, moaning, and hitting that sounded like pinging on glass. The crying recurred sporadically for nearly a week. The witness ruled out a human infant due to January cold and midnight timing.

Three separate visitor groups noticed a large unseen mover: the son-in-law heard something charge through the forest while stargazing, the sister-in-law heard a large animal run in daytime, and strangers saw movement off the trail. Separately the witness listened with a parabolic dish hearing limb snapping, brush movement, and metallic banging as if the cabin area was being torn apart.

The daughter, staying in the guest house, felt a loud ground thud vibrate the floor and sofa, heard loud metallic banging at night near farm implements, heard walking in the woodline each morning that stopped at the fence, and felt hits on the bedroom wall opposite her head that repeated when she resumed a movie. On a calm windless June day with her back to the forest, the witness heard a loud crack and saw a full-sized large tree swaying a foot side to side from top to bottom. Her husband was distant. She crept over but dense debris blocked any view of a cause.
