They watched a dark, hairy figure in a snow-covered clearing between the train and the river for about eight minutes as it alternately crouched and walked a few steps. Contrasty light prevented detailed feature viewing, and the train departed with the figure still watching.
Massive animal seen hunched over eating something in the middle of the road
Two occupants driving at dusk on a forested secondary highway in Oregon passed a very large animal eating in the middle of the road. The animal showed no fear, lifted its head to look at the car as they passed, then resumed eating. The witnesses described it as massive and solid with two-toned hair and an unusual pushed-in snout, estimating it would stand at least seven feet tall erect, and said it did not match bear, wolf, or dog familiar to them.
Campers hear moaning howl at Waldo Lake at night
While tent camping with his wife, the witness was awakened around 4 a.m. by a prolonged moaning howl lasting 20-30 minutes. Their dog growled and a nearby camper's dogs barked, and the nearby camper left hurriedly before dawn. The next day the witness found no sign, but later felt an Ohio moan-howl recording matched what they heard.

The witness and a relative were test-driving a pickup on a gravel road and stopped by the roadside. They saw a large hairy figure about 100 yards away across a gorge, standing motionless on an old stump and watching them for about five minutes before turning and disappearing into the trees. The witness and a relative were lying in a tent at a forest camp at night when they heard a bipedal approach, a fast high-pitched whooping sound, and circling movement around the tent lasting much of the night. The presence at times breathed audibly next to the tent and ran off with heavy-sounding footsteps before returning quietly. In the morning they looked for tracks but found too much forest litter to see any.
Hunter remembers possible howls and footprints near Baker City
Three hunters spread out in a draw heard a prolonged moaning-howling sound likened to a weak yell for help, with two of them also hearing a loud pop nearby. They traced the sound to a barbed-wire fence with freshly broken wire and torn-up ground but found no identifiable tracks. Returning to the same area the next morning, they found a large footprint in a cow patty which they linked to the previous day's sounds.

The witness was alone on a logging road stopping to eat huckleberries when loud noises were heard from upslope behind. Multiple large rocks were thrown toward the witness, with some hitting a tent set up near the road while the witness was inside. The witness was driving south on Interstate-5 at Rice Hill in the early morning in light rain when headlights illuminated a figure crouched by the guard rail. The figure stood up, took a step or two, jumped the guard rail, and went down the embankment. The witness pulled over downhill, waited about five minutes, then continued without searching on foot.
Family sees stooped-over creature walking along forest line
The witness and family were picnicking at Deadmans Pass when a child noticed a figure across a ravine by the forest line. They watched it sit and sway for several minutes before it stood up, appeared very tall and stooped, and took a few large steps into the woods. The witness said it was clearly seen on a clear day and moved like the figure in the P/G film.
Sounds heard at Skookum Lake
The witness camped with three companions at a primitive site near Skookum Lake below a ridge. During the night the witness alone awoke to sounds described as large rocks tumbling down the ridge and later to heavy spaced footsteps moving into and out of camp. The companions reported hearing nothing and no footprints were found the next day. Years later the witness associated the sounds with Sasquatch after reading other reports from the area.

The witness was hiking with a companion and two dogs in the morning when a large brown shape was seen moving quickly through dense understory. The dogs chased it for a few minutes and came back frightened, with one running all the way back to shelter. The witness reported a strong musty odor, unusual height and quietness of the object, and a securely tied tarp on one dog returning loosened to one knot.

Two people were fishing from a slowly drifting boat on a sunny morning. A very loud, long yell that rose and fell in pitch came from the direction of a dirt bank about 100 yards away. The pair went to the apparent source area to look around but found nothing and saw no animal.

The witness was hunting alone on foot in the morning when he heard repeated groups of rapid wood-on-wood impacts ahead of him. He followed the sounds as they stayed ahead until they were close but still hidden by a rise across a creek, then became uneasy and retreated to the road and camp. He stayed in the camper the rest of the day. Years later after reading a newspaper account of tree-whacking, he concluded the sounds were Bigfoot communication.

Late at night in summer 1989, the witness and two cousins stepped outside after movies and heard a loud deep guttural sound from the creek bottom rise into a 5-10 second howl. Frightened by its apparent size and closeness, they went back inside and locked the door. The witness described the end of the sound as more wolf-like than cow-like and later compared it to a reference Ohio recording.

Four youths went hunting past the guest's camp on a logged area near Estacada. After feeling uneasy in young fir trees and hearing a loud snap near a brush pile, they noticed something pacing them in brush. About 100 yards from the paved road they saw the head and shoulders of a seven-foot dark silhouette between poplar trees at sunset; it shifted its weight, confirming it was solid, and they retreated to the road.

Seven people waiting near railroad tracks at dusk claimed to see a large brown hairy creature walking along the distant forest edge. The being moved south in a lurching manner while looking back at them, frightening the group. They put the children in the car and later avoided discussing the sighting until a newspaper notice led them to call it Bigfoot.

While elk hunting, the witness and companions walked a logging road to meet another party member and found very large tracks in hardened snow that wandered on and off the road. The tracks came in two sizes, crushed the snow to the gravel, and had not been present that morning. The third party member had also noticed the tracks independently, and the group did not follow them and returned to camp.

The witness was scouting for elk on foot at first light near a clear-cut. From about 300 yards away through binoculars, the witness watched two small upright figures chase each other and slap hands for about a minute before they walked into thick forest. The witness first mistook them for bears standing upright but said they never dropped to all fours and no sound was heard.
