The witness looked up at its body and face, then walked slowly toward home while it remained nearby. At the home driveway the creature paused by a cedar tree, watched, then left into the forest in a few strides, after which the witness cried out and a relative searched the area.

The witness and a date were parked in a car in the woods on a fall evening when the car shook and a huge face appeared at the driver window at very close range. After starting the car and turning on headlights, they saw the animal on all fours on the passenger side apparently avoiding the light, then dash about 35 feet in front of the car into the woods where it stood up. The creature was described as over 7 feet tall, brown, fast-moving, and left muddy handprints and scratches on the car before the witnesses left for town.
