Walking out after dark he heard a loud guttural growl, movement in brush, rapid chatter-like vocalizations, a human-like whistle on one side and a low hoof-like reply on the other. He climbed down, found a large five-toed human-like track where it had slid, heard whoops from two directions, and left the area.
