Early in the morning the witness took the dog out to the end of the driveway before work. The dog alerted toward the treeline, then the witness heard a loud howl and wood-on-wood sounds very close and glimpsed a figure by a tree. After going back inside and leaving again, the witness heard footsteps in the dark and saw a huge dark upright figure moving along the fence and driveway by a pond, later noticing a foul odor and disturbed leaves in the area.

Two people hiking in the woods heard several wood-on-wood knocks spaced seconds apart. A minute or two later they heard a loud, long drawn-out cry lasting several seconds from within a mile. They stopped and listened briefly, then left the area.

The witness was walking dogs along the Sammamish River in Marymoor Park in the afternoon. From riverside cover about 50 yards away, a loud sustained screeching-howl was heard, clearly audible over traffic noise, startling the witness and dogs. They heard pounding on a tree, thrashing and shaking of vegetation, and screaming/squealing sounds, and encountered a very foul rotting-meat odor that was strong near the truck. A young companion reportedly saw a black, hairy, muscular animal about six feet tall descend from a tree and shake brush, though the face could not be seen.

While deer hunting with his girlfriend, the witness stopped at a landing and heard loud rhythmic knocking from a distant creek bottom. The knocks repeatedly stopped when he moved downhill toward the sound and resumed when he stopped. After feeling watched, chilled, and uneasy, he retreated uphill and left the area.

The witness was cutting firewood off a mountain road with a companion when she heard a brush snap, then about an hour later heard slow knocking, a soft whistle, and gibberish-like vocalizations from a heavily wooded canyon across the road.
