Late one July evening the witness opened a back sliding door to let the dog out. About ten seconds later two loud roar-like sounds, each about three seconds long and ending in a yip-like rise, were heard a few seconds apart. Nothing was seen and nothing else was heard.

After fishing for about an hour in bright moonlight, the witness heard a loud, deep guttural sound repeated four times from the woodline where they had entered.
