Multiple sightings by northern Idaho family
The witness was waiting with his son and daughter when their dog became agitated and stared uphill. They walked down the road and up toward old stumps where a short yellow-haired individual kept stumps between itself and them. At about eight feet under fallen logs it hissed and swatted at the dog while the daughter ran downhill, and the witness did not crawl under to look closer.

While tracking a wounded buck down the mountain at dusk, the witness heard parallel movement with breaking limbs, rustling leaves, a grunt and a growl. The sounds mirrored the witness's own stops and starts and at times fell silent. The witness fled through a briar patch to a truck, heard grunting again behind, and never saw the source.

In October 1974 porch calling drew a very loud howl from behind the house followed by three huge grunts near the fence, after which the adults sent the children inside.
Possible screams heard by campers near Indian Lake
The witness was at a summer youth camp at Indian Lake in the mid-1970s. At night around the campfire the group heard loud yells from the direction of the dam that seemed to get closer, and counselors sent everyone to bed. Later in a teepee the witness felt the ground shake with loud booming steps and was held still by a counselor; the camp broke quickly the next morning.

Relatives stopping at a communal trash dump in daylight saw a very large, naked, reddish-brown hair-covered male figure emerge from the tree line about 70 feet away. The figure growled and grunted as it approached quickly to within about 30 feet, emitting a strong rotten odor. The family retreated to their car and drove away. The reporter states he was reportedly present but has no memory of the incident.
Two hunters hear nighttime vocalizations near Darrington
Two people were settling to sleep in sleeping bags at a roadside camp late at night. They heard leaves and branches breaking and screaming from all around them and smelled a strong foul odor they did not recognize. Unable to see anything in the darkness without a flashlight, they grabbed their rifles, threw their bags in the car, and left.
Man recalls his encounter after riding his dirt bike as a young man near Bradford
The witness stopped while riding to pick berries near a pipeline clearing and noticed what appeared to be a bear digging behind a fallen log. After watching for several minutes, the animal stood upright, stared at the witness, then walked smoothly across rough ground into the woods. The witness ran to the bike, briefly returned to the area, then left without looking for tracks.

A child playing in tall corn behind the house at dusk heard heavy bipedal footsteps and corn being pushed aside. The corn parted and a very tall, thick dark figure stood within arm's length, emitting a strong musky odor and a heavy sigh or grunt before running around the child and disappearing. The child's mother heard the footsteps and corn breaking but did not see the figure.

The witness was camped alone with a dog near a sinkhole on a farm bluff to feed horses in the morning. After building a fire and cooking, loud grunts, growls and scream-like screeches came from the sinkhole while many young trees shook violently despite little wind. Horses stared then fled, the dog stayed close shaking, and a brief odd odor was noticed. Frightened, the witness doused the fire and left with the dog, and reports avoiding woods since.

A woman at a gravesite heard baby-like crying and saw a large being at the woods edge moving toward her. She fled by car to a relative's farm where similar creatures frightened animals and a shot was fired before police were called.

About fifteen people watched a huge spherical object descend over a pasture. Two tall hairy bipeds with glowing green eyes appeared by a fence while a witness fired tracers and live rounds with no effect, then the object vanished and responders found a large glowing area on the ground.
Memory of a possible encounter as young girls riding horses at night near the Coralville Reservoir
Four girls were riding horses on a moonlit night when their horses stopped and focused on a hilltop ahead. They heard a loud guttural growl mixed with vowel-like sounds and wood snapping, which frightened them. They galloped back to the farm where they were staying. The next morning they found a small wooden corral they had built on that hilltop broken apart.

The witness's father as a teenager went to a river with his older brother, younger sister, and the brother's girlfriend near dark. Something across the river crashed through brush like a heavy animal, then yelled, screamed, broke branches and pushed things over. The group fled in a vehicle, realized they left the youngest sister, drove back and found her running up the road screaming.
Four feral dogs chase sasquatch
On a clear night in August 1972, the 12-year-old witness was reading late in his bedroom when feral dogs chased something into his backyard. He heard heavy bipedal footfalls, a violent impact against the house corner and window, a grunt, and then a short deep growl directed at the dogs, followed by silence. The intruder then fled over a cedar fence as the dogs pursued, leaving a strong foul odor. Next morning the witness found a flattened flowerbed and trellis, a toppled lumber stack, and a tuft of hair of uncertain origin on the fence.

The witness and a cousin were on an overnight fishing trip and sleeping at a riverside camp. In the middle of the night the witness awoke to hissing sounds and saw a broad-shouldered silhouetted figure about 20 feet away behind a fence for several minutes. The figure then turned and left silently, after which rapid clicking sounds like rocks striking were heard moving away across the river.
A couple is escorted out of the forest after finding a possible nesting area near Rio Grande
The witness and his wife returned in late January to a rock grotto where he had earlier found a possible bedding area. They found the bed intact but an old wagon moved from a ledge with drag marks in the rock. As they hiked out through a ravine, unseen actors on both ridges followed them for about an hour with knocks, whistles and other vocalizations, shaking and snapping saplings and throwing rocks until the pair reached the woods edge. Neither reported seeing anything.

Two brothers have early morning encounter
On a bright early morning in summer 1972, the witness and his brother were sleeping at home when the witness noticed a large shadow at the window that remained about five minutes. After the brother woke and made a noise, the figure turned, showing a flat-faced profile and hunched posture, then walked away and was seen from the back door as covered in dark hair. The figure paused when they struck the glass, then continued leaving. A day later they found tracks behind the house leading toward the houses.

The witness stopped to pick wild raspberries while walking back alone on a farm trail. He heard a low grunt and large movement in the patch, then ran down the trail while something crashed through the woods alongside him. The movement stopped when he stopped and resumed when he ran, and he did not see the source.
Youngster frightened by "monster" peeping in window
A young boy resting in the upper bunk of a small cabin heard a strange animal-like call followed by footsteps and rustling outside. When he looked through the open shutter window he saw a dark, very hairy face with glowing eyes staring in, which fled when he screamed. The family later estimated anything peering into that high window from the sloped ground would have to be about seven to eight feet tall, but they found no trace the next day.
