The witness and family were picnicking at Deadmans Pass when a child noticed a figure across a ravine by the forest line. They watched it sit and sway for several minutes before it stood up, appeared very tall and stooped, and took a few large steps into the woods. The witness said it was clearly seen on a clear day and moved like the figure in the P/G film.

Six people hiking down a mountain trail in the afternoon saw an approximately six-foot dark-blonde bipedal animal scramble across the trail from upslope to downslope. A dog with the group chased it barking, then a fair-sized tree fell about 50 yards away, after which the dog went quiet and returned. The witnesses watched the tree fall from uphill but could not see the animal through the thick forest during the chase.

The figure was described as carrying a small child-like figure in its arms and moving quickly into woods on the far side. Very early one morning in 1991, the witness was fishing along the Hood Canal shore and saw an animal digging that was first taken for a bear. When it stood upright, looked at the witness, and walked quickly north into brush and trees on two legs, the witness concluded it was not a bear. The witness later found two clear five-toed footprints measuring 15-16 inches where it had been and photographed them with a shoe for scale.

In April 1991 around 2 p.m., the witness was playing with a BB gun near a garden and ravine, jumped onto a rock, and encountered a roughly 5-foot tall hair-covered creature within about 13 feet. The creature ran away through the woods with loud branch-breaking sounds, and the witness fled to the house then returned with a relative. They found broken branches, slide marks, and a three-toed footprint, though the witness later noted the tracks might not be from the same animal.

The witness saw a very tall, shaggy, human-like creature running alongside the car for a few seconds while noticing a strong unpleasant smell. After the companion returned they found only indistinct marks and disturbed vegetation, then heard a single loud crack like wood being struck and fled the area.
