Hunter encounters creature while grouse hunting

The witness was grouse hunting on a snow-covered mountaintop after a companion walked away out of earshot. A dark, hair-covered figure ran along the ridge toward the witness, stopped about 40-50 feet away, and watched for about 1-2 minutes before walking away and glancing back once. The witness stressed the figure moved quickly and silently through deep snow with an ice crust that was nearly impassable on foot.
