Sighting by a Backpacker Near Bullfrog Lake
The witness was hiking back toward camp in daylight when they noticed a small bear-like figure showing interest in a backpack at the camp from about 100 yards away. After watching for about two minutes, the figure stood and walked bipedally into the trees with person-like arm swing and a smooth gait, disappearing at 200-250 yards. The witness interpreted the figure as a young Sasquatch about 4.5 feet tall and reported feeling that something unnatural was being witnessed.

On October 20 they rode up the creek bed and encountered a large muscular creature standing by the water, which the companion filmed while the guest covered him. A pregnant witness took her two young sons uphill to clear the screen on a water holding tank intake. A cat with them arched and screeched, drawing her attention to a huge black man-like figure with long flowing hair. The figure crouched then stood and ran uphill bent over, weaving around branches quickly and quietly. She grabbed the children and ran back downhill.

In summer 1966, the witness and her older sister were talking in a parked car near a river in Albion in the evening while the rest of the family was on a nearby boat. Across the river they watched two large, hairy, bipedal animals chase a flock of about 50 sheep around a fenced pasture for 20-30 minutes. After dark they hid in the locked car overnight and reported the event to their parents in the morning, later learning several sheep had been killed with bellies and internal organs eaten.

The creature watched the group for about a minute, then fled upslope on two legs. That night at a lakeside camp the group reported a strong skunk-like odor, distant landslides, a small dim green light, snapping branches, and large shadowy figures moving among trees for about two hours. Activity reportedly ceased after two counselors left to seek medical help for an ill child.

The family was finishing work at their bee yard in the evening when the father noticed a man-like figure standing by a tall stump. A very loud yipping yell was heard twice, the family dog reacted fearfully, and nearby coyotes fell silent. The figure loped away with dangling arms and long, sure-footed strides, and comparison to the stump afterward led the father to estimate it at about nine feet tall.

The witness later found large barefoot-like tracks and noticed a strong foul odor at the crossing site. The witness did not shoot and initially told no one.

The witness was walking down a wooded hillside toward a spring on the family property when a large ape-like figure was seen standing across the creek staring toward the witness. The witness backed uphill and left without approaching to look for traces and told no one at the time. The sighting is recalled as a warm Fall afternoon in the early 1960s.

The witness was hunting with two friends and hid alone in berry bushes to startle them. While waiting, the witness smelled a strong odor and saw a large hairy biped stand up nearby and walk away through thick brush, hearing snapping and leaf crunch as it left. The witness ran to the friends and later returned with them to find a squatted feeding spot and small broken trees.

On a Sunday night, repeated shrieks were heard in brushland where a roughly 10-foot-tall grotesque man-like figure was reported. Large prints measuring about 14 to 17 inches were found nearby over the next two days and were followed through a subdivision, park and camp area. A law enforcement leader later described the tracks as shoe prints made before a light snowfall and suggested a mountain lion as a possible source of the noises, while noting fresh lion tracks and no cabin break-ins.
10-Ft. Shrieking Monster reported near Cold Springs
An anonymous caller told the sheriff's office that a roughly nine- to ten-foot-tall human-like figure was moving in the road near an old gravel pit. A second man on the same call said large tracks had been seen. Responding deputies did not see the figure but stayed in the area for hours listening to loud shrieking that moved around them.
