Two occupants of a car driving on a curvy wooded road around midnight encountered a furry figure crouched in the roadway. After illuminating it with high beams from close range, they watched it stand on two legs and run quickly up a hill. They described it as huge, dark, about seven feet tall with long arms, moving like an ape, and said it could not have been a bear.

The witness reports going to the Cameron Lake area at dawn to birdwatch and scanning a scree slope with optics. Both men then watched a tall, dark-brown, upright creature move quickly through dense brush about thirty feet away. The witness noted the dog's fearful reaction was highly unusual for a dog accustomed to bears and cougars.

The witness was walking a dog on a trail on a mesa when the dog growled and pulled left. The witness saw a tan-colored with red tint, long-haired biped peek from behind a pine tree and then walk away to the west on two legs. The viewing lasted about 10 to 15 seconds and the witness was very upset afterward.

The witness was camping and skipping rocks by a river with a child and dog near sunset. The dog stared across the river and bristled, prompting the witness to look across. The witness saw a large bulky figure at the far bank that rose from a crouch, turned, and walked into brush out of view. The figure was estimated to be about 165 yards away and much larger and wider than a person.

The witness was guiding a fishing charter by boat in a remote refuge in the morning when a reddish-brown hairy biped was seen searching a sand bank. The creature approached to close range, stood erect and faced the boat for several seconds, vocalized, then left quietly into mangroves. The sighting lasted about two minutes and was watched by the guide and two clients.

Late at night the witness and a relative went outside to check a heavy thud behind the house. They saw a deer run past, then a very tall hair-covered human-like figure approach from the woods. After a shotgun shot was fired toward the treeline, the figure veered closer, stopped nearby, then moved along the treeline into the woods where it remained visible for several minutes. A strong odor was noticed and large footprints were found the next day.

Looking back toward an upper trailhead, the witness saw a tall, bulky black figure walking from right to left and quickly out of sight. The witness then moved forward to the spot with the relatives and later compared the figure's size to a relative, estimating it much taller and wider.

A witness walking alone to a river bridge in the evening stopped after spotting a hair-covered figure squatting at the river edge about 30 feet away. The figure kept its back turned for several minutes while breaking open and eating mussels or clams, striking some on rocks. The witness claims a family group has visited a rural wooded property regularly for nearly two years, typically evenings to early mornings several times a week. Reported activity includes footprints, wood knocks, odors, vocalizations, trail and structure formation, and direct sightings with food exchange and close interactions. An investigator visited the densely brushed property, observed extensive trails and shelter-like spots, and interviewed the household about four to five individuals of different sizes.
Motorist has daytime sighting near railroad tracks west of Murphysboro
The witness was traveling along a road around 11 a.m. in clear, cool conditions and reported seeing a tall, thin, hair-covered figure standing off to the side of nearby railroad tracks. The witness described the figure as very tall but reported no facial details. An investigator later met the witness and visited the location, recording estimates of about seven feet tall, slender build, black hair, about 200 pounds, and about 250 feet observation distance.

The witness was driving home from work at night on a snow-covered highway when he noticed a tall figure on the shoulder. As he approached, the figure turned and crossed the road, passing within a few feet of the truck and allowing a close view in the headlights and through the passenger window. Scared and concerned about sliding on the ice, the witness did not stop and continued home.

The figure appeared ready to cross from a swampy marsh toward wooded hills but turned swiftly back into the marsh when lit. Late at night in February 2011 the witness was driving on Highway 95 between Potlatch and Tensed when a very large dark bipedal form crossed the road in front of the car. The witness stopped in the empty highway but the figure vanished from the lit pasture and ditch without being seen again. The witness fled home in dread and later interpreted the figure as possibly Sasquatch-related.

The witness was driving into his home lane from the paved highway when he saw an animal walking up a ridge through the woods about 80 yards away. He watched it for about 15 seconds until it went out of sight over the ridge. He described it as 7 to 8 feet tall, huge, and dark brown in coloring.

From about 50 yards away in bright headlights, the witness watched a large humanoid run across an open field to the east. Two people driving north at night reported a tall, black, human-like figure standing in the road. As their vehicle approached, the figure crossed from the east side to the west side very quickly, described as moving like a gorilla. The witnesses estimated its height at 7-8 feet and did not see its face.

While driving on I-64 at dusk, the witness saw a hair-covered figure run through heavy traffic and across the median without slowing. The figure paused to avoid a log truck, allowing a close view, then sprinted across the remaining lanes into the woods. The passenger also watched the figure run up the hill through the woods.
