The witness, a seasonal parks worker, arrived alone at Amco park early in the morning to clean. While driving out on the park access road, the witness saw a large hairy upright figure standing beside the road. The figure looked toward the truck then ran quickly across the road toward the river, after which the witness left without investigating.

Two of them approached an iron-gated house that appeared well-kept and spoke with a very old woman in historic clothing who held a candle and gave directions using wagon trails. After hearing loud infant crying at the grave site, they drove past the house again and found it dilapidated and overgrown, though the woman with the candle could still be seen inside. The group fled and never discussed the night together again.

Hearing loud injured-deer-like screams, he walked toward them and saw a large upright creature holding a branch, breathing rapidly with puffing cheeks and twitchy eyes about 50-60 yards away. When he raised his rifle the creature fled rapidly, jumping a creek into a cedar swamp. Shaken, he detoured around a large cedar tree feeling intense fear, ran to the cabin, and later left the woods for two years.
