Late at night the witness was driving with a companion toward a fishing and camping area when furry upright beings appeared in the roadway in front of the vehicle. The witness saw two beings while the companion reported a third walking ahead, and the beings looked at the vehicle before diving headfirst into roadside brush. The sighting lasted only seconds, after which the witnesses decided not to camp.

The witness was driving south on Route 55 near Seneca Rocks late at night in rain while towing a trailer when he saw a tall hair-covered biped about 20 feet away. The witness was alone at a riverside base camp in the afternoon when she saw two dark, slender bipedal figures walking on the opposite river trail around a bend. When she reached the riverbank moments later they had vanished with no place to hide except a steep vegetated canyon wall. A radio check confirmed the hiking group had not passed anyone, and when group members later stood at the same spot they looked much smaller and bulkier than the figures.

The witness was riding as a passenger in a car traveling north on I-77 in the early morning while his wife drove. He noticed a very tall figure walking across a steep snow-covered hillside near the road. The figure moved from right to left with long strides and did not appear to have difficulty on the steep slope. The witness was unsettled and uncertain whether he had seen a heavily dressed man or something else.

Upon returning toward the house they saw a tall brown man-like figure standing motionless by the porch and staring. They watched it from ground level and then from the upstairs porch while the child tossed pebbles, but it did not move. They went inside without seeing it leave, and overnight snow covered any possible tracks.

On a clear sunny afternoon in August 2002, the witness was commuting to work when a reddish-brown creature with long arms emerged from the woods. The creature crossed the road in about three steps, glanced toward the witness, and continued up the opposite bank. The witness later estimated it at seven to eight feet tall and much bulkier than a 6'1" person.

One who hid behind the trees encountered a tall hairy figure at very close range pulling back a branch, then fled screaming. Another teen then watched the tall muscular figure emerge from the trees, cross the road, and walk up a hillside while turning its upper body to glance back.

The witness and a relative were delivering newspapers in the early morning when they stopped at a driveway. In the headlights they watched a large, very hairy creature walk across a yard toward the woods for about 30 seconds before it left view. The creature ignored them and walked away casually without looking at them.
