On the afternoon of April 17, 2004, the witness was turkey hunting from a blind in a creek bottom after using a hawk locator call. He noticed what he first thought was a burnt tree about 50 yards away, then realized it was a large, dark-haired bipedal creature watching him. The two stared at each other before the creature turned and walked away upright, and the witness reported being badly frightened and smelling a musky odor when the wind shifted.

In January 2003 while bobcat hunting and driving slowly through a wooded pasture, the witness and a companion watched a muscular grey-furred animal cross the road on all fours about 30 feet ahead for 6-7 seconds. The animal stayed low and bent over, moved awkwardly with weak-looking front limbs and kicking hind legs, then vanished. Both occupants compared it to a gorilla and later agreed it could not have been a bobcat.

The witness and a coworker were driving when a tall hairy biped carrying an animal carcass over its shoulder crossed the road ahead of them from east to west during a rain squall. The crossing lasted only a few seconds before the creature disappeared into a creek bed. The next day they found partial footprints along the creek bank but lost the trail in dense undergrowth.

A driver reported watching a large, brown, heavy-set creature slowly jog across a remote two-lane road and continue up a hill on two legs without looking at him. The observation lasted about 10 seconds at dusk. He first thought it was a bear but changed his mind when it moved bipedally like a person.

A relative told the reporter by phone that a man found three large hairy manlike creatures on his porch and yard. The man reportedly shot one with a rifle, after which two others came out of nearby forest and carried the shot one away. The reporter states the FBI was called and took blood and hair samples, and that the reporter later overheard game wardens on a scanner discussing the same incident.

In July 1983 the witness was driving a tanker truck in the Honobia-Pickens area. A very large hairy creature ran across the road in front of the truck, nearly being hit, and continued running without stopping. The witness estimated it at about seven feet tall with a brownish upper body and lighter lower body and noted it wore no shoes.

As they drove slowly past on the passenger side, the figure stared at the witness. Years later the driver confirmed she had also seen it and called it Bigfoot.

When he raised a firearm the creature's eyes widened and it dropped down. It then burst out the back, ran on all fours before rising to two feet, and cleared a six-foot fence in a long jump.

After a creature growled through a back window, the two brothers went outside after it. One brother fired three shots that struck it in the back, head and lungs. They listened from the porch as it gurgled and died near the wood line, then other individuals rushed in, picked up the body over a shoulder and carried it away.

A young adult relative arrived, got out of the car and saw a creature about twenty feet away growling. She ran inside shaking. Moments later the creature leaned down to a large front window, bared its teeth and growled through the glass before fleeing when the homeowner moved around the house.
