While deer hunting in the evening, the witness watched a doe press against the stand as if chased. A tall black hairy biped with a very human face appeared nearby, stared, roared, and exchanged whistles with another unseen individual. The witness fled to a truck, fired a warning shot that struck bark near its face, and saw a second creature on the logging road while driving away.

The witness and their spouse were driving on Highway 190 in southeast Texas at dusk in fall 1981 or 1982. A tall, lean, hairy figure stepped into the road ahead of them, paused near the center to look toward the vehicle, then continued off the road into vegetation. The witness then saw a tall hair-covered biped standing in the road about 50 to 60 yards ahead. After the witness stepped out with a rifle and started approaching, the creature turned and ran through briars into a cornfield, and the pair left.

The witness and a companion were walking along a road after sundown when the witness heard movement on an elevated fence row. The witness climbed up to look across a cut corn field and saw a tall slender brown shaggy figure walking along a ditch, which stepped into a ditch bank after being shouted at. They ran back to the companion's house, and the witness returned the next day to find large human-like footprints in lime dust.

In early to mid-October 1981, the witness was driving to work on old Highway 68 toward Fayetteville. Near the bridge at Fairmount Road, the witness saw a reddish-brown figure digging at the ground beside the bridge. The figure looked up as the car passed, then jumped up and ran across the road in long, fast strides.

After calming down elsewhere, he drove back, noticed paired trails in dew leading into oak woods, and followed them to a tree where a tall hair-covered biped stepped out. Believing he was about to be killed, the witness fired a handgun into its chest at close range; the creature bled from the wound and mouth, stood, and climbed down a bluff toward water, after which the witness left and later found the road closed.

After driving away to calm down, he returned, parked, armed himself with a large-caliber pistol, and followed disturbed dew trails into oak woods. About six feet from an oak tree a tall hair-covered biped stepped out, exchanged prolonged looks, then appeared to work itself into an agitated vocalizing state while urinating. The witness fired at close range into its chest, saw heavy bleeding from the wound and mouth, and watched it clutch its chest, stand, and disappear over a bluff toward the water.

The witness and a companion were in an open school field at dusk when the witness noticed a large shadowy figure across the field. The figure then ran silently and very fast directly toward them, appearing as a huge reddish-brown shaggy man/ape-like creature. The witness shouted to run and both fled through a neighboring yard to the witness's home. A return search the next day found nothing.

In early fall 1981 the witness and two friends rode bikes back to a stream in the battlefield woods to retrieve rock chips. They saw a dark, hairy figure bent over in the stream that stood upright, turned toward them, and then ran silently north along the stream on two legs. The group fled, returned later with older kids to search, and found no tracks except additional turned-over rocks.

Two young family members went to the barn after dark to check animals and one touched fur in the dark and then saw a tall furry biped with red eyes. The creature followed as they left the barn without harming them. An older relative then confronted it with a shotgun, fired in the air, and it ran into the woods making a noise.

The witness was driving to an early class on a clear morning when a large hair-covered biped emerged from the tree line and crossed the highway in a couple of steps. The figure paused by a fence to look toward the witness, then lifted a smaller hair-covered figure from the weeds onto its hip. It then stepped over a barbed-wire fence and walked unhurried into the woods.

The witness was driving on a dirt road near Prescott at dusk when a large ape-like animal appeared moving parallel to the road just inside the tree line. The witness braked to a stop and watched it walk through a gap in the trees about 100 meters away for about 10 seconds before it disappeared into the forest. The animal was described as tall, very muscular and reddish-brown with longer arm hair and little or no neck, and it never looked toward the car.

The witness and a relative were riding a minibike through a new subdivision when they noticed an upright, black, hairy figure about 500 yards away moving toward them on the road. After backtracking briefly they looked back and saw it approaching faster in the middle of the road, then fled on the minibike without looking back and kept the incident to themselves for years.

From a deck they heard a loud snap on a trail leading to the woods and saw a very tall, broad, black-haired upright creature run away and disappear. The next day a search found only a broken limb, and the witness later heard that nearby residents had also reported sounds, tracks and fence damage that night.

The witness was camping with other groups and took a nighttime walk on a dirt road after being unable to sleep. About 200 yards from camp a large grey entity emerged from the roadside 10-15 feet ahead, turned to face the witness, and they made eye contact for a few seconds. Both turned away, the witness ran back to camp and kept watch, with no further appearance.

The witness noticed a tall dark figure on a hillside near the dam that came down to the water's edge and paced while facing the children. The witness was fly fishing alone in a river pool in the morning when a dog on the far bank began barking. A tall dark-haired biped stood up from the brush, was observed walking through the thicket, then left for the woods. The witness reported the sighting, returned to find police blocking the road, and later saw a large search with vehicles and helicopters but never received follow-up.
