The witness was scouting for a deer stand site in a swampy pine forest in the early afternoon. After hearing a distant splash and nearby snapping limbs, the witness saw a massive ape-like animal running away while grunting. The animal disappeared into the swamp, leaving a strong musk smell. The witness left, unsure what had been seen.

The witness was working on an irrigation system in a wooded community adjoining national forest when he heard a loud crash and saw a large tree rocking with no visible cause. After waiting and approaching the tree line, the same crash-and-rocking sequence occurred with a second tree and then a third. The witness spent the night in a hammock set a short distance into the woods beside a campground site while his wife slept in a tent. After 2:30 a.m. he heard prolonged branch-breaking sounds around him and a very deep, prolonged vocalization, which seemed to stop when he shone a light and resume when it was off. He retreated to the tent, where both occupants continued to hear breaking culminating in one very loud break. The next morning they found no footprints or broken limbs, only rock piles they noted.

The witness and a companion were camping overnight in hammocks when a prolonged series of nighttime disturbances began. The witness heard crashing movement, branches breaking, rocks banged together, and a large object thrown through the woods landing nearby. Birds, an owl, and distant dogs vocalized during the sequence, which ended with a long wail, after which the woods went quiet. The pair left the area the next morning.

Shortly after midnight the witness walked past his front door on the way to the bathroom and noticed a tall, hair-covered figure standing at the bottom of his front steps. He estimated it at about 8 feet tall and as wide as his steps, with long arms and no visible neck or facial features. He turned to grab a camera but the figure was gone when he looked back, and he saw nothing when he opened the door and turned on the porch light. Shortly afterward he heard repeated deep rumbling sounds described as like thunder from inside the house.

Two people tending a brush fire at night heard repeated grunt-like vocals and heavy breathing from the woods behind them for about an hour. The sounds stopped whenever they turned to look and included occasional footsteps and snapping limbs. After they went inside, they thought they heard something come out of the woods toward the remaining fire.

At night three sources around the tent clacked rocks in patterns, pinning the witness in. By morning the offering of pennies and candy was gone.

The witness and two companions were snow sledding at night when they heard loud noise and commotion beyond their firelight and fled to the house. The next day they returned and found very large tracks in the snow leading from and back into nearby woods, with tracks around a tree with stripped branches. They did not see the source of the sound and report no further experiences since.

The witness went onto a raised side porch to dump breakfast scraps for dogs and noticed light fur under the porch. Hearing a scuffle, the witness turned and saw a tall fur-covered creature with long arms that looked back while moving around the side of the house. The witness dropped a pan and was unable to scream.

The witness and family were sitting around an outdoor fire at a relative's wooded mountain home around 10 p.m. on a damp night. While listening to recorded purported Bigfoot sounds, they felt watched and then heard saplings breaking upslope followed by a larger tree snapping and sliding toward them. Frightened, the group ran to the house porch.

During a recent Friday night investigation along the river dividing the property, the group heard repeated loud booms like boulders striking and splashes as rocks hit the water in different spots. They ran toward each splash with lights and night vision, hearing water droplets hit nearby foliage, but did not see who threw the rocks.

Upstairs sounded like someone playing jacks with bouncing ball and metal pieces, with cold spots and feeling of being watched. Lights flickered and ceiling fans spun with switches off, stopping after occupants apologized for noise. A visitor searched the house without finding occupants who were present.
