Elk hunters hear loud wood knocks from multiple directions in remote forest 40 miles east of Boise
The witness parked below the snow line to glass timber strips while scouting elk before season. Over an extended period around noon, repeated loud knocks were heard from varying directions and distances, first alone and later with a companion. Later three quick rock-like clacks were heard behind the witness followed by a faint wood knock, after which the area went quiet and the witness left.

The witness and a companion were camping overnight in the bed of their truck when the witness awoke to heavy footsteps passing by. The companion reported sensing an unidentifiable sound from the animal that the witness did not hear. About five minutes after the animal left, the witness heard three distinctive wood knocks.

A few days later the witness was woken by a thump in the house, checked locked doors and sleeping children, then in daylight found fresh bipedal triangle-shaped tracks on his high roof and the neighbor's roof. The group walked back to the truck without running while hearing twigs snapping behind them, and later wondered if they had disturbed the animal while feeding.

On the last night of a camping trip, the witness lay awake in a tent around midnight and heard close footsteps and deep breathing from a large presence outside. The witness sat up, armed, and turned on a flashlight, after which all sounds stopped and a sudden intense dread lifted. No animal was seen, no odor was noticed, and nothing further happened that night.

After the dog was sent into brush, yelped, and fled to camp, the nine-year-old [name withheld] saw a tall hair-covered figure standing uphill watching them. The family ran to camp, set up a string-and-can perimeter alarm, then heard growling and rattling around the perimeter before packing up and leaving.

The witness and two companions snuck out at night to a swimming hole and found a headless kitten on a lifeguard chair. The witness then saw a backlit man-like figure crouched in a pine tree above the path. They hurried back to camp without looking back and later heard huge splashes in deep water twice.

In daytime the children ran inside saying someone or something banged on and shook the whole vinyl fence. They thought the father had done it, but he had been inside and the mother was inside, and nothing was found outside.
