The witness camped alone in her van at a rustic campground during storms. Deer ran toward her then fled after looking toward the treeline, where she saw a high pair of large forward-facing eyes. After trying brighter lights she got in the van to get thermal, closed the slider, and heard a loud growl very close. She stayed quiet overnight hearing howls and screams, and her friend found suspicious tracks and hair the next morning.

The witness, a wildlife biologist, was deer hunting at dawn on his forested property when a jet-black canid-like animal stalked toward him. He fired a .45 at its head with no apparent effect, then yelled, after which it rose bipedally to about seven feet with a broad chest and long thin arms. He fired twice more into its chest, it sank back to all fours and retreated, leaving only uncastable imprints and no blood or bullets found later.

Around 2 a.m. on a clear night in late October, the witness heard growls and other noises outside his home and went out with a flashlight to investigate. He reported a strong dead-animal odor, movement across the road, and green eyeshine, then watched a tall dark bipedal animal cross the road into his woods and viewed it at close range in the treeline before retreating to the house. He reported hearing noises through the rest of the night and finding a few tracks afterward.

The witness was steelhead fishing alone upriver in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the morning. The witness found two sets of barefoot tracks of different sizes crossing a four-foot-deep stretch of river. The tracks were described as flat, broad, without arches, and sinking deeper than the witness's own tracks. The witness believed they were recently made and not human, and took photos and video.

The father-in-law found large tracks in snow while going to burn trash and called the reporter. The reporter came over, photographed and measured 17.5-inch prints with strides up to 4.5 feet, and followed them to a steep creek ravine that the maker ascended without slipping. No creature was seen, and a sample of discolored snow was collected.

The witness was driving on a trail behind her home in the early evening when she noticed movement in the woods to her left. She reported a brief side view of a tall, dark, hairy bipedal animal running awkwardly into the woods and disappearing. She also heard cracking of dead trees and later found a human-like but boxier footprint in sand that was gone when she returned with a relative.

During an initial walk in pines, he heard an extremely loud knock that frightened him and later heard whistles from the woods. He also reported finding multiple large and small track sets. The witness was driving home at night on a dirt backroad when something struck the truck, leaving scratches and a dent on the passenger door. After calling for help, the witness with two relatives found footprints along the road and photographed them. While photographing they saw green eye-shine above the brush and a large upright shadowy outline, then heard wood knocks, growling and heavy footsteps before the eyes disappeared.

After heavy overnight snow, the witness became stuck while driving down a two-track road toward home and continued on foot. While walking, the witness noticed a line of very large footprints in the snow extending about 100-150 feet before veering into a swamp. The prints were described as much larger than human tracks with a long stride and undisturbed snow around them. No maker of the tracks was seen.

The witness and his wife were driving in their truck on a DNR access road toward a lake in fresh snow. The wife noticed a single file of large bipedal-looking tracks crossing the area near a toilet building. The husband got out, examined them in deep snow, and noted a long clean stride with no drag marks before the trail continued into pines. The pair reported seeing almost no deer sign in the area.

While deer hunting, two companions found a single set of oversized tracks that were longer and wider than a size 9.5 tennis shoe, with about a six-foot stride. They observed the prints heading northwest through pine forest near a swamp. The witness and a companion were walking up a remote dirt road at night looking for snowboarding hills when they heard a strange sound and found large bare-foot-like prints with visible toes in the snow. After discussing the prints, which were wider and longer than a 12-inch flashlight with a very long stride, a nearby tree began shaking violently and dropping snow and branches, prompting them to run back to the car and leave.

Two siblings camped in a remote forest clearing and heard movement, a log being turned, then three extremely loud long screams from about 100 yards away. They hid in their tent, and in the middle of the night the witness heard unintelligible deep speech-like talking very close outside. In the morning they found large barefoot prints behind a bush and later found their tent flipped over when they returned.

Late at night at home, the witness and three companions heard banging on the deck and went outside to investigate. In moonlight they saw a large shape kneeling on the lawn that stood and ran across the lawn, through a puddle, and up a driveway. The group later heard low growling and groaning, and the following afternoon the witness found a large footprint in a nearby sandbox.

While mountain biking near a creek, the witness stopped for a break and noticed bare footprints following the creek edge in soft mud. The prints showed no arch and had a wrinkled texture, which seemed odd in February cold. After later reading about a nearby sighting, the witness filed this report.
