The witness reports that co-workers found a single very large footprint in dry mud while working on a remote forest fire. The co-workers photographed the print with a tape measure for scale. The witness does not state that they personally saw the track.

The witness ran about three miles up an unused dusty fire road while making noise with rocks in a bottle to avoid bears, then turned back. About a mile into the return they noticed two sets of large human-like footprints crossing their own tracks diagonally that had not been there on the way up. The witness and a companion were driving logging roads looking for footprints. About 20 feet off a secluded logging road they found multiple footprints about 14 inches long in firm ground. They were able to follow the prints for 15 feet before losing the trail.

While loading the vehicle to leave, one witness saw a tall brown human-like figure stand up about 15 feet away and walk toward the river. After daylight she searched around the house and found two large bare footprints in the driveway about 50 feet away, with no other tracks nearby. Police were called and during the subsequent search an officer saw a tall man-like figure run across a highway. Very large tracks with a long stride were found but dogs could not track anything and the figure vanished into river bottoms. A later visitor examined a cast and said weight distribution argued against a fake shoe.

The witness was hunting in the woods at dawn when he came upon a trackway of very large barefoot human-like prints. The prints crossed the icy edge of a large frozen puddle, breaking the ice and leaving impressions in mud, with a stride of about four feet. He left the area promptly and later reported the tracks to local law enforcement.

They returned in daylight and found large deep footprints in snow, which they photographed and displayed with a written account. While mountain biking, the witness heard a large animal moving in brush off the trail but could not see it. About 200 yards farther up the trail, the group found very large detailed footprints overlying companions' tracks, which left the trail for a meadow and reappeared crossing the road about half a mile farther on. Coincidentally encountered bear hunters also examined the prints and were unfamiliar with them.

The guest and his girlfriend camped on a secluded Oregon beach in August 1995. Over about half an hour they watched a tall black figure pace the beach, then approach to close range where hair, massive shoulders, long arms and a gliding walk became clear. Frightened, they fled to their car, sought help at a nearby RV camp, and the next morning photographed large footprints in the sand. The guest later shared the photos with researchers and returned the next year to trace a worn trail into the forest.

A couple camping on a remote Oregon beach at dusk watched a very large, dark, hair-covered biped walk back and forth on the sand several times, at times passing close by. The witness later found very large, deep footprints where it had walked and, when it approached again at night, shouted and then fled to camp. Both stayed through the night without further sightings and photographed the tracks at daybreak.

About an hour after dark they heard a loud minute-long scream that shifted in pitch and direction and seemed to originate just outside the camp light. The guest filmed it at high zoom, noting symmetrical shape and lighter chest, then left to stay on schedule.
