In early summer 2007 the witness was traveling north on Highway 259 near Big Cedar in the morning. About a half-mile ahead, a tall, very dark bipedal figure with long arms crossed the highway. The figure was uniformly dark brown to black from head to feet.

As she completed the turn, a very large athletic figure ran across behind her minivan from one side to the other, seen only as a silhouette in the rear window. The witness was driving a truck north on a highway at night when a tall, dark-haired biped ran toward and across the road. The entity crossed both northbound lanes, the median, and the southbound lanes in two long strides, running upright with its arms at its sides. Two other truck drivers also witnessed the crossing, and the three later met to discuss what they saw.

In January 2003 while bobcat hunting and driving slowly through a wooded pasture, the witness and a companion watched a muscular grey-furred animal cross the road on all fours about 30 feet ahead for 6-7 seconds. The animal stayed low and bent over, moved awkwardly with weak-looking front limbs and kicking hind legs, then vanished. Both occupants compared it to a gorilla and later agreed it could not have been a bobcat.

The animal first moved on all fours, then rose onto its hind limbs, ran with long steps and leapt over an embankment and fence into the woods. The sighting lasted only a few seconds, and a later visit to the site revealed many game footprints.

The witness was riding home from a lake late at night with a cousin driving. A large upright ape-like creature ran across the road in front of the vehicle in a few steps, crossed a ditch and hayfield toward a creek. Both occupants were shocked, noticed a strange odor that faded, and the cousin later did not remember due to drinking.

The crossing lasted only a few seconds before the creature disappeared into a creek bed. The next day they found partial footprints along the creek bank but lost the trail in dense undergrowth.

A driver reported watching a large, brown, heavy-set creature slowly jog across a remote two-lane road and continue up a hill on two legs without looking at him. The observation lasted about 10 seconds at dusk. He first thought it was a bear but changed his mind when it moved bipedally like a person.

In July 1983 the witness was driving a tanker truck in the Honobia-Pickens area. A very large hairy creature ran across the road in front of the truck, nearly being hit, and continued running without stopping. The witness estimated it at about seven feet tall with a brownish upper body and lighter lower body and noted it wore no shoes.

A woman driving home with her two children in the afternoon saw a large black manlike creature rise from a squat beside a two-lane highway and run across the road a short distance ahead. The creature crossed in three steps, glanced toward the car, then left the road into a ditch and brush. The driver braked but did not stop, feeling frightened for the children.

The witness was driving slowly on a familiar dirt road with a young child passenger and looked up to see a huge hairy figure directly in front. It turned its head to look at her and struck the top of the hood. She screamed, reversed without checking behind, turned around and fled, fearing pursuit.

The witness left a lakeside campground after dark in a pickup with a young child, followed by relatives in another vehicle. Headlights revealed a wolf/coyote-like animal down the road that then rose onto two legs to about the witness's height. The witness swerved to avoid it, and it lunged toward the tailgate as the truck passed, after which the witness sped to the end of the road and later told relatives who said the creature was known around the lake.

The guest, his sister and her boyfriend got their truck stuck crossing a dry creek while driving bottomland. They watched a dark figure come up out of the creek bed on all fours, then stand fully upright on two legs and stare at the truck. When high beams hit it, it covered its face with its arm, sprinted across the road in front of the truck, and disappeared up a brushy hill.
