The witness was acting as gunner in a vehicle moving without lights during a night training exercise and watching through a thermal sight. A tall, unclothed figure emerged from dense roadside vegetation about fifty yards ahead, crossed the dirt road in three strides, and re-entered vegetation without appearing to notice the vehicle. The witness reported the figure after it disappeared, but the crew drove on without stopping to investigate.

A woman driving home with her children at dusk saw a brown figure crouched on the highway median outside Gladstone. The figure stood up, crossed the highway in a couple of steps, lowered its arms to its sides, and disappeared into the woods. She described it as extremely fast and graceful and concluded it could only have been a Bigfoot.

Early one morning the witness was driving east on Highway 67 after stopping to pick up a newspaper. In the headlights a large black biped ran from the north side of the road across in front of the vehicle and up an incline to the south. The witness described it moving very fast on two legs and glancing back over a hunched shoulder while maintaining eye contact. The witness stated it did not look like a known four-legged animal and was left frightened.

From a distance the witness saw a figure first thought to be a dog, then recognized as man-like as they got closer. The figure rose from a kneeling position, moved to the roadway, looked at the witness, and then went into the woods. The witness paused briefly and then turned around and rode away, afraid it might return.
