At about 2 a.m. during a break in a storm, the witness heard something at the backyard wire fence and went outside armed with a relative. They heard footsteps and loud cracks first mistaken for gunfire and fired weapons toward the sound. The cracking was then recognized as wood splitting as a huge tree was pushed over, crashing down and shaking the house, after which the family heard loud footfalls running away.

On the trail he saw a widely spaced pair of large eyes at about his own height that stayed after he fired a handgun into the ground, then left to the side through dense brush with loud crashing. He smelled a foul musky odor and found pushed-over vegetation where it left, felt watched while field-dressing the deer, and later found part of the carcass dragged about 300 yards.

The witness camped alone for many days to cleanse after handling a body. After hearing barking and seeing a dark shape swaying in laurel, the witness moved camp. At night three sources around the tent clacked rocks in patterns, pinning the witness in. By morning the offering of pennies and candy was gone.

Early in the morning the witness took the dog out to the end of the driveway before work. The dog alerted toward the treeline, then the witness heard a loud howl and wood-on-wood sounds very close and glimpsed a figure by a tree. After going back inside and leaving again, the witness heard footsteps in the dark and saw a huge dark upright figure moving along the fence and driveway by a pond, later noticing a foul odor and disturbed leaves in the area.

Throughout spring 2004 the witness and several neighbors repeatedly heard what sounded like a bipedal creature walking through woods at night, often while area dogs barked intensely. Plants outside the witness's window were found repeatedly flattened and scratching was heard on a neighbor's house. In May the witness heard a loud distant scream described as a classic Bigfoot scream. The disturbances stopped abruptly in July.

The grandfather was once seen firing a rifle at a creature in his corral, and coordinated disturbances were reported at multiple homes in one night until the family moved away.

They ran to camp and heard popping branch breaks all around through the night and slept in the vehicle. In the morning the bear hang had been untied and lowered and only fresh produce was missing.

The witness dove over the bed as the creature moved to the back door and smashed a cinder block through it, leaving a hole large enough for a leg. The family packed and left that night, with the adults later dismissing it as a relative in a costume.

Four people camped in a van by the lake and walked up a logging trail with torches. The dog ran ahead and fled yelping to the house. Something gray and bulky crossed the trail, then something crashed from the trees, blew out the torch, and loomed over them as a dark mass with outstretched arms. They fled to the van, later heard something walking around and scratching the van, and next morning found scratch marks through paint.
