The witness and three relatives returned at night by power boat to the isolated shore where trees had swayed earlier that day. They cut the engine about 20 feet from shore and watched into the darkness. Three objects splashed close to the boat over about a minute, believed to be thrown rocks, with no other sounds heard, before they restarted the engine and left.

After others went to the water and noticed many crayfish, the group heard thumps by the fire, found the fire logs disturbed and later the tent support bent, then left the camp that night and did not return.

The witness was walking home at night near a creek when something began throwing sticks and rocks and following her. The throwing reportedly paused when cars passed. She ran to a bridge where the pursuer entered bushes but continued throwing objects, while she heard footsteps, smelled a strong bad odor, and glimpsed only a large dark figure. Footprints were reportedly found in sand the next day.

Late on a Thanksgiving night in 2004, the witness and his mother were washing dishes when an extremely loud impact shook the side of the house near the woods. The witness stepped into an adjacent dark room and saw a very large upright shadow moving quickly away from the house toward the woods. His mother said the next morning she had felt watched for hours, and no footprints were found because the ground was frozen.

On the way back they heard footsteps and branches breaking around them and something repeatedly threw snow or hard snow clods at them, while dogs barked nearby and a rank carcass-like odor was noticed. They jogged most of the way out, leaving around 3-3:30 a.m., and the witness believed deep snow ruled out a prank by a person.

After wildlife fell silent around 7 a.m., prolonged branch breaking and pounding on trees was heard for hours, a frightened hog fled the woods, a branch struck the blind, and deep growls were heard. On the second morning approach, something was heard walking alongside in the brush and a close growl was heard near the stand before the noises resumed at daybreak. Nothing was ever seen and no tracks were found.

Animal control and the sheriff's department investigated and warned residents not to approach the animal.

The dogs went silent and their radio trackers gave no signal, then something large circled the men in the corn with audible running and heavy breathing. A large amount of foul-smelling clear slime splattered onto the partner, and the men retreated to the truck to find both dogs cowering underneath, unwilling to load.

They heard growls and vegetation shook violently, so they retreated. Through the night they heard moaning and howls and had rocks and limbs thrown toward them from across the pond, finding no tracks the next morning.

While sitting in the car he heard repeated impacts like cones hitting the vehicle and saw tall black hooded figures in the treeline and prone shapes on the grass that appeared closer each time he looked away, with faint flickering lights near their faces. He spoke to them, then drove away, later finding no damage and noticing maps show the turnout on the opposite side of the road from his memory.
