Hunters describe hearing vocalization
Two companions arrived early in the morning to hunt geese and began setting up a blind and decoys. They heard a low howling or hooting sound twice and listened together for about six minutes. They initially considered a coyote but felt it did not sound like a coyote. No creature was seen.
Stranded motorists have sighting
The witness and a companion were walking toward a relative's home near the hills after their car broke down. They heard a whistling noise, then a howl-like sound, then a noise in nearby bushes which they went to investigate. A large figure appeared directly in front of them, and they ran while it chased them about 400 yards from the initial spot.
Howl in Wyoming
The witness and his wife drove nine miles back a scenic road and turned around. With windows down on the way out, they heard a howl on her side of the truck. It lacked the volume of prior screams he knew, and no other vehicles or hikers were seen.
