As they left, the movement sound seemed to follow them upstream until a shallow cove, while the companion reported additional knocks the witness did not hear.

After midnight they heard large rocks being thrown into and around a nearby stream and loud wailing, howling and grunting sounds that grew closer when the camp was loud and receded when quiet. After confirming all members were present, most of the group left early while about 10-15 stayed quietly until dawn as the sounds grew more distant.
