The witness claims he was fishing alone at night when he heard two large animals fighting on a hillside across the water. The sounds lasted about 30 minutes and included growling, hollering, and breaking limbs as the animals moved toward him. When they reached a clearing he lit them with a spotlight, saw two tall lean hairy bipeds, and watched them sprint uphill into the forest. He then left the area and says he will not return alone.

The hunter was napping in a high stand before dawn on newly permitted land and heard heavy footsteps approach in leaves several times. After he sat up, a healthy mid-sized oak about 40 yards away fell instantly with no wind and no cracking sequence. He later found the root ball pulled out and the landowner also heard the noise.

The witness was outside behind home around 9 pm and heard heavy leaves crunching. The witness then saw a large hairy slouched figure standing under a security light watching, estimated at about nine to ten feet tall. While deer hunting in late afternoon the witness heard yipping followed by whooping, yelling and loud approaching bipedal footsteps. A large dark hair-covered biped emerged from a draw about seventy yards away, walked past at an angle, then turned upslope into brush and out of view. The figure was reportedly visible for about two minutes with travel sounds heard briefly afterward, and the site was revisited the next morning for a height comparison.

After stepping on a stick, the witness watched it glance back and leave, then waited before backing out and telling no one for over a year.

The witness and his wife sat on his truck tailgate at a power-line clearing late at night when they heard snorting, brush breaking, and a loud growl/grunt moving up a steep hill toward them. The witness saw a large shadow moving on the slope in moonlight, heard breathing and stomping, and smelled a musky sour odor. After revving the truck engine the sounds crashed rapidly downhill, and the pair left, seeing deer run across the road as they drove out.

Two companions parked a motorcycle on a dirt road late at night and walked toward a nearby residence when they heard loud heavy footsteps and brush crashing approaching from a swampy area. They ran back to the motorcycle and fled as the sounds and heavy breathing closed in. As they drove away, one rider looked back and saw a very large, wide, dark hairy figure leap onto the road, land on all fours, then stand erect and grunt. The figure was silhouetted in bright moonlight, preventing detail of face or hands, and was estimated at about seven feet tall.

Four young men camped on a companion's land and heard approaching grunts, heavy footsteps and foul odor across a creek at dusk. After a rock was thrown toward the unseen sounds, something shrieked, circled the camp and emitted a loud high-pitched scream, prompting them to leave and later return with a parent. The primary witness heard noises again overnight, and the next morning the group found large footprints, hair and a bedding area before the primary witness briefly saw a tall hair-covered upright creature that looked at him and ran away.

Two companions were fishing from a boat close to shore late at night. They heard heavy two-legged footsteps coming down a wooded hillside and then rushing toward them as they prepared to leave. The unseen source entered the water behind them while emitting a loud snarl and growl neither companion recognized. They left without seeing the source and did not return to investigate.

The guest, a soldier in training, went for an evening run on a straight road through woods on base. Something in the woods mirrored his footsteps and paced him as he ran back, staying about 25 meters away despite his speed. At the edge of the woods near the barracks he heard a tree smashed apart and saw cream-colored legs from the waist down before the figure walked away.

While descending they heard heavy footsteps on both sides that kept pace with them and estimated five or six unseen individuals from groupings of footfalls. They shouted warnings, received no verbal response, then ran to the car and drove away without ever seeing the source.

While listening near dark they heard walking in the woodline about 150 meters away that sounded bipedal. After it got too dark to see, they stood up, shone a light toward the woodline and briefly glimpsed something stepping back, then heard sounds again as a deer ran very close past them.

Late at night they heard clear bipedal footsteps approaching up a steep slope, followed by breaking limbs and circling around their camp outside the firelight for over half an hour. They also heard loud exhaled huffs that frightened them. They abandoned camp and returned the next day for their gear.

The witness and a companion were walking down an old pulpwood road with a dog when they noticed a strong goat-like odor and heard rustling and a tree shaking. The witness pulled back branches and saw a tall, hair-covered biped running away downhill on two legs. The companion did not see the creature. The witness lost sight of it in pines and underbrush near a swampy area.
