Both men heard loud whoop-like and howl-like vocalizations along with heavy bipedal-sounding footsteps and branches breaking from the cover between them. The sounds lasted about a minute and unnerved both hunters. The witness did not enter the brush and later returned without further incident.

Others sheltering in the trailer also heard footsteps, breaking branches, impacts, and a heavy sigh, and later a branch-like object was dragged across the trailer roof.

The two compared accounts the next morning on the drive home and concluded the cause was a bigfoot, keeping it to themselves.

The companions recorded eyeshine in the opposite direction, suggesting a second animal, and the group heard footsteps following them as they descended. They later reviewed the tape and confirmed eyeshine had been recorded.
