The witness reported rounding a sharp curve on a two-lane road at night with headlights illuminating a standing figure on the roadside very close to the car. The figure appeared hunched and swung its arms in a manner the witness interpreted as angry or about to jump into the road. The husband went outside with a flashlight and saw red-orange eyeshine well above normal human face height, then a tall upright shadow running toward the southwest. After mimicking animal sounds in the evening, the witness stayed awake through the night hearing crashes, footsteps, grunts and mimicking speech, and saw eye shine high off the ground. In the morning the pair found a snapped tree, strong odor, widely spaced ground marks and a five-toed partial print, which the witness attributed to a large visitor.

The witness was driving a truck at night when a dark figure was seen on the roadside appearing to roll on the ground. As the truck got closer the figure stood upright on two legs, moved toward the side of the road, and then jumped up and down while hitting its chest. The witness drove past without stopping and continued on.

The witness and a companion were riding a four-wheeler through a swampy forest off abandoned tracks at dusk. The witness first noticed a black flash in the woods, then heard whistling and rustling behind them while riding slowly. Looking back, the witness perceived a large black bulk pursuing them and saw two yellow glowing eyes. The companion reportedly saw nothing, and the witness did not mention it at the time to avoid alarming the companion.

After the witness brightened the headlights, the creature approached, struck the car and leaned on the hood while screaming loudly. The witness reversed around it and drove away while still hearing it screaming in the distance.

A companion noticed two red eyes on a bank, initially thought to be a raccoon, then the creature blinked and walked upright on two legs across the road about 100 yards ahead. The group locked the doors and drove away as the creature disappeared into a timbered thicket.
