A relative reported on behalf of the witness, who was driving home in the late afternoon when a tall hairy biped stepped onto the road very close to her car. The witness braked and swerved to avoid a collision as it walked slowly across without hurrying, glancing back once before disappearing into woods by a lake. The encounter reportedly lasted about 30 seconds in good daylight.

Four adults spent the day trap shooting at a dead-end road near a washed-out bridge. During a lunch break they noticed a tall dark stump-like shape about 25-30 yards into the forest and watched it remain motionless for 30-45 minutes. When they later looked again the shape was gone, leaving no matching stump. They concluded the object may have been a sasquatch calmly observing them despite hours of shotgun noise.

While driving home shortly after midnight, the witness encountered a hair-covered biped standing in a forest road and honked at it. Two people walking toward Miner's Falls heard repeated wood-on-wood banging for about a minute. They saw a large limb held straight out and striking back and forth between two close-set trees about 20 feet away. One witness glimpsed a dark unidentified shape believed to be part of a dark arm that seemed to rise from leaning over before the noise stopped and moved away behind the trees.

The witness and his family were staying in a fifth-wheel trailer with the windows open on a cool cloudy night. Around 2 a.m. the witness heard loud scream-like howls from different directions that seemed to answer each other for about ten minutes while appearing to move. Dogs in a nearby town began barking almost immediately.

The witness was asleep at home when a very loud screaming and howling sound woke him around 3 a.m. He went to the front door to listen as the sound quieted, describing it as similar to recorded whoop-howls and unlike coyotes he had heard before. He estimated a single caller a quarter to a half mile to the southwest, noting dogs and livestock reacted to it before it stopped.

The witness was night-fishing along a river trail when heavy footsteps approached on the wooded hillside. Shining a headlamp toward the sound caused it to stop, and it resumed after the light was removed. Late at night the witness was driving with a companion toward a fishing and camping area when furry upright beings appeared in the roadway in front of the vehicle. The witness saw two beings while the companion reported a third walking ahead, and the beings looked at the vehicle before diving headfirst into roadside brush. The sighting lasted only seconds, after which the witnesses decided not to camp.

The witness was hiking alone on the Florida Trail when he found very large bare human-like footprints on a dirt road that had been clear of prints shortly before. He did not see the track-maker but reported feeling watched and then hearing a yelp described as half dog and half human. He did not photograph the prints and hurried back to his truck.

The figure moved quickly in a few long strides and entered the woods before the companion could see it. Late at night the witness sat by open backyard windows after turning down the TV and heard two long exhalations from just outside at head height. Frightened, the witness shouted out the window and fled to the front of the house, startling a sleeping relative and dog. The next day the witness found a large barefoot human-like footprint in soil against the house corner beneath the window.

The witness was on a solo early-morning walk by a lake and causeway when she first mistook a large dark animal for a bear. It stood up and moved with unusual fluidity, grimaced and vocalized, then retreated toward the treeline while a larger concealed animal roared, snapped trees and shook vegetation. As she backed out between granite rock piles, she saw a massive auburn-haired arm pressed flat against the rocks close to her. She eventually left the area and became physically ill from fear and adrenaline.

Two women driving on a dirt road near trees and a rodeo grounds at night encountered a large hairy creature in front of their car lights. The creature was walking on the road where they could not go around it or turn around, then stopped and turned to face them directly. The witnesses were described as being very frightened.
Possible vocalizations heard by campers near Monache Mountain
The witness was camping with family in Monache Meadows when loud echoing whoops were heard from nearby late at night. The whoops came in pairs and were then joined by coyote howls and sounds of a violent chase that receded into the distance. No visual observation was made and the group did not search the area the next day.
