They heard a growl, a distant tree fall, and something running around camp that was too fast to pinpoint on thermal, then found X-shaped tree structures without roots. On later visits team members saw a large dark humanoid with a conical head peek from behind a tree, found broken branches, and heard loud peacock-like bird sounds with nothing visible.

The next evening after dinner the dog fixated on brush by a steep drop, where one camper saw paired eyes at close range that avoided a flashlight, followed by branch breaks and a tall tree-like silhouette that walked from one side of camp to the road and later showed yellow eyeshine. The group packed hurriedly, secured the dog and lights, and drove home the same night feeling watched but not directly threatened.
