On a night trip in early March 2013, the witness and three companions stopped in the woods around 2:30 a.m. after hearing a loud moaning sound. The witness shone a light downhill and saw a head with two closely spaced eyes about 40 feet away and 5 to 6 feet off the ground. The eyes stared for about 45 seconds before sidestepping behind a tree, and a quick search found nothing and no tracks.

Just before sunrise in March 2013, the witness was on the side of the road and saw a tall black figure in the rear-view mirror pass behind the vehicle and cross the road in three strides. The witness first thought it was a person out walking, but later noted the walking trail was ahead while the area behind was a guardrail and steep drop-off that was very difficult to walk.

A tan, hair-covered figure was seen running along the top of the levee about 100 yards away for 5 to 6 seconds. The figure moved very fast with bent legs in fluid motion, its head steady and down. The witness emphasized its remarkable speed.

Four women driving south on Patricks Point Road near Trinidad in the late afternoon watched a very tall, dark figure walk across the road in front of their car. The figure was described as solid black head to toe, trim with broad shoulders and arms reaching near the knees, moving with a purposeful stride from forested land on one side into thick brush with no visible trail on the other. The occupants were struck by its height, smoothness, and silhouette appearance without visible face or clothing lines, and afterward wondered if it had been a Bigfoot.

He heard three deliberate wood-on-wood knocks to the north, followed immediately by a bottle-on-metal clattering sound from a closer area to the south. Something in the adjacent woods approached to within about 20 yards, making heavy bipedal footsteps and loud thrashing in reeds and brush without becoming visible. The witness retreated to the car, repositioned it, and tried for about an hour to elicit further response, later hearing a growl and movement alongside and then away.

The witness was driving to work in the morning when a large black figure appeared about 150 yards ahead. It walked slowly across the highway, stepped over a guardrail without breaking stride, and continued down a ditch into swampy woods. Two people driving home separately at night each reported seeing a large shadowy figure by the highway slip into the woods about a half-mile from home. They compared notes after arriving home and realized both had seen the same thing, but could provide no details beyond its large size and shadowy appearance. The sighting occurred two days after a bizarre shrieking noise had been heard in the yard.

No creature was seen. An investigator later visited the property, found a displaced rock, a single possible footprint, and nearby scat, and noted the property backs onto a power-line corridor.

Shortly after midnight the witness walked past his front door on the way to the bathroom and noticed a tall, hair-covered figure standing at the bottom of his front steps. He estimated it at about 8 feet tall and as wide as his steps, with long arms and no visible neck or facial features. He turned to grab a camera but the figure was gone when he looked back, and he saw nothing when he opened the door and turned on the porch light. Shortly afterward he heard repeated deep rumbling sounds described as like thunder from inside the house.

After topping a ridge and shutting off the vehicle, the witness saw a tall hairy biped about 30 feet away running away and knocking over a small tree. The witness heard crashing sounds during the flight and noticed a faint musky smell afterward.

While deer hunting, the witness walked through a field and found odd tracks in deep snow. He knelt for a closer look and noted they had human-like toes. He photographed the tracks, which headed north across his property and were estimated to be at least thirteen inches long.

A tree-trimming crew reported finding a line of large human-like footprints in snow where their truck got stuck on an icy back road. The prints reportedly came out of the woods onto the road and continued about 160 feet with a long even stride. The witnesses photographed the prints, which had been plowed away by the time an investigator later visited the site.
