While hauling a load on unfamiliar back roads south of State College, the truck driver noticed a tall upright figure standing just outside the treeline atop a road bank watching traffic. He was drawn to its extremely bright red eyes and estimated it at six and a half to seven feet tall with wide shoulders, narrow waist, and light tan-brown hair. He had only a few seconds of viewing while passing at 30 to 100 feet and did not see it move.

After hearing loud whistles, the witness reached into the thicket, touched hair, and saw a large creature squatted in the bush showing its side, shoulder and leg with knee near eye level. The witness, then a child, was riding in the back of a car driven by a relative late at night when headlights revealed a tall hair-covered figure crossing in front of the vehicle. The figure continued across a creek, climbed into a yard, and walked uphill out of headlight range while the occupants watched from the car. After driving into the driveway and running inside, a relative briefly went out with a rifle and light before returning.

At dusk in fall, a child was playing in a field behind the house with a dog when the dog barked fearfully at weeds around an unused barn. A very tall, dark, hair-covered figure emerged chasing the dog and came within about 6-10 feet of the witness, who noted its huge hands with long fingers. The frightened witness ran about 30 yards to the house and told family members, who did not believe the account.

A spotlight then revealed a tall hair-covered figure about 25 yards away at the treeline, gripping a limb and watching them for under a minute. The figure grunted loudly and walked away steadily while breaking limbs in its path, after which the two left terrified.
